Need a sense of humor or trip to liquor store ....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/09
This hotel was booked online based on the misleading photo (possibly when hotel was built many many many years ago) of the room and the seemingling great price. Now let me walk you through our unforgetable experience. First I was not given the 2 room family suite I had prebooked weeks in advance, I was so called"upgraded" to 2 full adjoining rooms. As soon as we walked in it reaked of smoke. 4 light bulbs were bunrt out throughout the two rooms I went to the office and advised the girl I that I need some light bulbs and I would have called but the phone was missing and looked like it had been ripped out of the wall and the wires were just hanging there. (looked like something from a crime scene investigation)I was given 1 light bulb to change myself . The tv's in both rooms only got 5 channels and there was no "free in room movies" as advertised(when questioned about the movie channel the girl at the front desk claimed a storm, she actually described as a monsoon, had just blown through and the satellite must have gone out it will probably come back on in time)one of the remotes was held together with tape & the other had no backing. One bathroom had kleenex shoved into each of the four corners between the frame of the exhaust fan & the ceiling in order to keep it in place or possibly stop the loud rattling noise didn't accomplish either? The shower had a piercing high pitch squeal when turned on & the bathroom sink ran rusty water for a second when first turned on. The second bathroom should have been condemned it was litterally covered in black mildew/mold, the plaster was falling off in chuncks on the one wall and there was a lined piece of paper that read sink broke do not use. Some of the towels had holes in them. The pillow cases, sheets and blankets were so old and ratty, and had holes and large tears in them. 2 of the 4 beds had (blood?) stains on the bed spreads. The cable outlet was hanging from the wall and was connected to 3 different cable lines which may explain the fuzzy reception. The carpets were flilthy and had stains all over them, we didn't dare pull out the pull out couch and the sitting chairs looked like outdoor furniture with stains on each of the cushions where years and years of dirty head imprint/stains had been left. The heated pool was filled with dark green water. The fridge I requested was not in my room and I could not get it delivered because there was only one girl in the office. There was no ironing board, iron or coffee maker as advertised. I had to pay to park there. I was told the girl in the office would be leaving at 10pm and there would be no one on site till morning. She advised me that Moe the maintance man would be there about 7am. i could request the fridge then. She advised me they call him Mo f***ker. I asked where their other hotel that had the indoor pool was that I was instructed we could use(was supposed to be across the street), was told I dont know. The next day I decided not to get the fridge scared of what it might look like inside it (and i would have been charged $10 per day for it as well) . The second night I went back into the office and inquired why the movie channel wasn't working I was told " I dont know what to tell you". The first morning of our stay my young son came running into the room excited it was Marineland Day we asked him to look out the window to see what the day looked like, when we asked him what he say he replied "garbage....shopping cart....wood....and lots of junk as nothing would surprise us at this point, we jumped out of bed to look at the View from our upgraded room to see exactly what he described....garbage, shopping cart, dumpster etc.....nothing like a room with a view!! Unfortunatley we didn't have the budget to book another hotel as we would have had to pay for our stay at both places so we laughed to keep from crying and made the best of it and tried not to let it ruin our whole vacation. Would not reccommend this hotel to anyone!

Better than they say...

Found the room a little older looking but ours was clean. Best part of this place is their breakfast buffet and very attractive, upbeat staff. The prices are great and the people are real and fun!

most disgusting motel on earth!
By Le-a, 08/24/09
The only good thing about this place is the location, other than that it is absolutely revolting. The bathroom stinks of urine, the carpets are filthy with stains all over them. The sheets are completely worn, you can see the design on the mattress underneath. The windows don't lock and you have to constantly walk to the front desk to get your own toilet paper, never any in the room. The room smells of mold and the tv reception is fuzzy. The service at the front desk is horrible especially if you book through hotels.com or expedia, you will be told that you should have booked through the hotel directly. We were definitely given the impression by Vito that he would have treated us better if we had booked directly. Also no fridges in the room as they advertise on line! STAY CLEAR!

run away don't walk
By Kaila, 08/16/09
I have never complained about a hotel before. I had booked 2 rooms for 10 of us for a family vacation to Marineland---5 adults and 5 children. Sheets threadbare with patches, rooms dirty, had to pay to park---but don;t guarantee spot---let locals use the lot at no charge ( I had to wait over 1 hr to get a spot after paying for parking), pool and whirlpool not working, no shampoo or bar soap in room, no coffee maker, hairdryer, microwave, etc. Was treated like a thief when asked for toilet paper- only half roll was left in bathroom for 6 of us in the family room. Beds were broken, spring missing from pull out couch, ants in bathroom. Not handicapped accessible. Local teens party all night long, in the morning vomit was everywhere outside--stairs parking lot and sidewalk. Prebooked family room for 6---pullout not made up--they did put sheets on when asked but told no blankets, one of the blankets on the bed had been cut short--would not tuck into foot of bed. Afternoon staff unbelievably rude and nasty when approached with any concerns, when told we would complain the response was "go ahead". Marineland was great but the hotel was a nightmare.

Worst place ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/09
When we entered the room smelled, the bathroom smelled of urine. The pull out sofa bed had no sheets, the regula beds had old smelly sheets. We were booked for 2 nights and left after first night. Of course no refund. I don't even want to it give a star. Would not recommend it ever. It was worse then a room I had in Turkey back in the 80's

What a DUMP!!!!!!
By Joan W, 07/20/09
First did not tell us when booking room that you had to pay to park. The hot tub didn't work,{would not have gone in it anyway} Walked in the room it smelled. Went to look out the window and it was opened and broken. Sat on the bed it was as hard as a rock. Turned the TV on it was fuzzy and I thought we were to get a free movie channel. It said not available. Maybe 5 or 6 channels. Called the office to fix the window and the smell. Took a little while so we went down to the falls BEAUTIFUL had a good time down there. Came back to our room did smell a little better window was fixed. Went to pull down the sheets no fitted sheets kept coming off of the bed all night. Almost afraid to go to sleep. No wash cloths or any shampoo. Two pillows for a King size bed. It was BAD!!! We had booked it for 3 nights. We left the next morning. Manager was very rude to us wanted to give us a different room. But it didn't have sheets that fit either no thank you. She still charged us for both nights. I understand the 48 hour thing but she was so so so rude!!!! Thank God we went across the street to Comfort Inn Fallsview. I asked if they had sheets that fit and shampoo. I told her the other place didn't. Would not recomend my worst enemy to stay there. It was so BAD

Lincoln, himself would NOT sleep here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/09
DUMP, crunchy towels, smelly room, filfty carpets full of stains from who knows what, no pool, no internet, no toilet paper, no free in- room coffee, no maid service, disgusting pull out sofa, and furniture, shower awful, hair dryer broken, burnt out light bulbs, $7.00 parking in their own lot what a rip-off, no free movies, no channels(3) if that fuzzy, broken remotes ,dirty windows(room 64) the family suite ha ha suite yah right, 2.59 for a coffee with your unlimited buffet at 5.99 juice 2.99 stale toast, and luke warm eggs etc, and goes on and on, do not stay here unless you like living in a dump, yes it was reasonable but come on flaws is not what we paid for even if it is under new management, if certain rooms are not up to speed do not have people stay in them, and the snotty maid sorry to bother you to get a roll of toilet paper a half roll when we checked in for a 3 day stay she never came in our room once we made our own beds and bring your pillows, disgusting. I do not know where the good reviews stayed could not have been here. the front desk was somewhat helpful and our air conditioning did work thank goodness it was hot out.

Great Value for Fallsview Area!
By Joe, 05/15/09
We just spent the weekend in Niagara Falls and we had a blast!! It was a very short walk to the Niagara Falls and even closer than that was the Fallsview Casino. We did not go into the casino because I dont gamble, but we did get a lot of shopping done in the stores attached. We picked the Lincoln Inn based on price because when we were booking this online and compared it to the other hotel prices in the area, it was just a huge savings. We read some bad past reviews and decided to call the hotel and inquire. We found out that the property is recently under new ownership/ management, and let me tell you what a difference from what we read and the experience we had when we stayed there. We recommend it to everyone!

Don't ever stay in this 1960's DUMP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/09
This place is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms stink and I don't think have seen a vacumn in a long time. The Jacuzzi Suite was just horrible the taps leak there was 1 towel in the room it had 1 TV channel, no internet access, no toilet paper, no coffee, the closet doors were missing and the drywall was falling off the ceiling. The bathtub was so dirty there was a film of scum on the floor that was brown(in a white tub). The lamp shades were almost burnt through and most of the light bulbs were burnt out. The office was closed at 9pm and opened at 9am so noone to call at night when box spring breaks. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

BEWARE DON'T STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/08
My sister, brother-in-law, my fiance, and myself rented rooms at Lincoln Motor Inn Oct 17-20 2008. My sister and her husband had no problems in there room but, I'll focus on our room. The first room #33 had no heat they gave us a portable heater that didn't work almost froze to death, we moved to #36 the next morning heat worked fine everything was ok so we thought. We wake up the next morning itching and feeling like something was bitting us and we had little red marks all over us. Well long story short upon our departure once we got home and went to the Dr. we found out we had scabies!!!! We had to be quaranteened until 10/29/08 so we missed alot of work. Cheap Place price wise location was good cleanliness was horrible if we caught scabies!!!! Niagara Falls is a beautiful place and I would definetly visit again I just will not reserve at The Lincoln Motor Inn. What makes this whole situation bad is that we sprayed everything down with lysol and it was still so dirty we got scabies. Phones half way worked, could only watch 6 channels and the free movie that they offered was always Harry Potter. Anyone thinking of staying here please beware and if you do decide to stay bring a blacklight so you can see the danger lurking.
