total lack of service

We didn't even have to stay there to know we will never go back to the Deerhurst again.
We had booked a Dogsledding ride through Deerhurst. When we arrived at 9:30am for our 10:00am reservation, they informed us that they had us booked for 9:00am.
Fine, mistakes happen.
So they can't rebook us because the day is full.
So we drove 4 hours for nothing.
But, they can't refund us our $120 either?!!
Would they let us take a sleigh ride instead?
Sure, for another $80.
Two separate managers were promised to call us presumably to tell us that our credit card would be credited. But two weeks later we haven't heard back from anyone.
In the hour we spent at the Deerhurst we learned that they misbook fairly often.
They misbooked two sleigh rides in the time we were standing there.
In talking to friends we heard that they also forget room reservations.
So thanks for ruining my birthday, Deerhurst.
