Unique and a part of history

I am in Halifax with fair regularity as a business traveller and I always stay here. The Lord Nelson is different from the other cookie cutter hotels in town. It has a history...the Rolling Stones stayed here in September 2006 and relatives of the doomed Swissair flight stayed here in 1998. I like the fact that the hotel was opened in 1922 and there is a feel of what Halifax once was. The customer service can be a bit hit and miss but the location, to my mind is prime. There is an ambiance of a bygone era and the place is my home away from home when I am in Halifax.
