Overall a decent place
There are 3 sections to the Mount Peyton. The hotel itself, which is passable, the efficiency apartments across the highway (with kitchennettes) that are quite workable, and a motel section across the highway which I haven't seen - but which get poor reviews. I like the efficiency apartments because they're roomy, they have what I need to cook for myself, and there's a laundromat down the hall. (There's absolutely no ambience, but as a typical male business traveler that doesn't bother me. It's functional.) The hotel restaurant is dreadful (there's no real competition) but I can get whatever I need from an excellent supermarket down the road (the Dominion) and cook it in my room. The room upkeep is excellent and the staff is cordial. The TV (in all sections of the hotel) is adequate with an abundance of channels. I had one bad day when kids across the hall were making a racket and a dog was barking but most days have been quiet.
