Tyee Village Motel, Port Alberni

The hosts are very kind and considerate. They provided great services and seemed to be constantly trying to give their best. There's a noticeable effort to upgrade and improve the rooms too -- ours was clean, had nice hardwood-style floor and was a very comfy suite. Very affordable! But it was really the people who that made the place!!! They had lots of ideas of things to do and see and let us know that if we needed anything all we had to do was ask.

My wife and I intended staying for 1 night but because of the warmth and kindness of the Hosts along with many suggestions of what to see we stayed for 3 nights and had a marvellous time in the locality. The on-site restaurant was an added bonus.

Stayed there with my husband, 1 yr old baby and my dog, service was great and so were all the amenities. Management was nothing but kind and helpful. I would recommend to anyone, this motel,

Close to other amenities. Great breakfast at restaurant on site. Good for those on a budget. Close to "Serious Coffee", Subway, McDonlads, 7-11, Shoppers Drug Mart. Don't Spill the salsa.

Drunks banged on our door at 1:30 AM. The numbers given to call in case of rowdiness were of no help as no one answered the phone. The drunken shouting continued for several more hours.

The first room was a party room and smelled of liquor and cigarettes,phone not working properly and overall cleanliness was bad. The second week I moved to another room which was in better condition but again the phone was not working. I kept asking to have the phone fixed but only got promises. My wife tried 5 times in one night to reach me and the phone never rang but she was told the phone was fine. Due to pending surgery she needed to reach me in case of an emergency and this would have been impossible! Bad service for someone staying 4 nights a week. Moving to new motel next week.
