BEST WESTERN PLUS Kings Inn And Conference Centre, Burnaby

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is a two storages old style hotel, but the room I stayed was clean. The staffs were friendly and helpful especially for giving out direction. After I am back to home, I could not find my cellular charger so that I call them to see if I left it in the hotel room. They send it back to me within serval days.

We have been staying at this hotel for ten years, but it is now time for a change. Our main complaint is that the area has become very noisy and on both nights of our stay we were awoken several times. Not the best if you want a good night's sleep. Rooms are clean and basic.

Travelers beware!!! Do not let them put you in one of the rooms in the back of the hotel as per the advice of one of the reviews! We were put in the back and the room was old and dark, and the bath tub was dingy. The garbage bin is at the back and you could hear the garbage truck ROAR by at about 8 in the morning. There are bums that frequent the back to pick stuff out of the garbage so it is quite unsafe. We ended up with bug bites all over our bodies and when we told the manager, he was not very compassionate about it, did not apologize nor was he quick to offer us a new room but instead asked us what was it that we wanted done. We asked to switch rooms of course, was given one in the front of the hotel, and it was newer and cleaner than the last room but we still ended up with more bug bites! The only nice thing about this place is the housekeepers were friendly.

Good location if you are visiting Burnaby; not great for visiting Vancouver. Close to shopping (huge mall at Metrotown). Lots of ethnic stores etc nearby. Ask for a room at the back, away from Kingsway. Older but well maintained. Continental breakfast was free.

Ok, its not horrible, but it needs some work, the bed was too soft. There's not much in the area and you are right along a very busy street - turning left to get to it was not fun. Was cheap, but would have paid more to be better located. Staff was friendly.
