Super 8 Casper West, Casper

This hotel is clean, and readily accessible from I-25 via the Center St exit. I stayed there 4 nights in May 2009 after paying in advance to get the 15% discount. I'll admit that the bipolarity of the reviews made me wonder what I was getting into, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room had simple amenities with a great TV, free WiFi access to the Internet, and a comfortable bed with an abundance of pillows. A block further east there is a nice restaurant that attracts the locals so it probably is above the local averages. I also dined at Eggingtons for breakfast, and really enjoyed it and the staff. I rate this place as a good value, and was favorably impressed after reading the negative reviews.

I think The hotel manger wrote the last review. This place was awful! I stay at a lot of hotels due to my job and this one ranks on my list of the top 10 worst. The rooms were so dirty I didnt dare take my shoes off! Also you hear everything that is going on outside your room due to the paper thin wals and the 3in crack at the bottom of the door. Dont plan on a good nights sleep. Bottm line is if your are going to Casper book your room a month out at another hotel or you will be stuck in a dump like this. The only good thing about this place is that it is not the Shilo Inn. If you have to stay my God have mercy on you.
