Sheraton Madison Hotel, Madison

We stayed at the Sheraton and the facilities are nice. There's a pool, and our room was spacious and decorated well. However, the staff is less than welcoming. We tried to go to eat at the restaurant and we were told they didn't have enough servers to wait on us (it was a Friday night, and the dining room was half full). Additionally, there was gum in the carpet of our room, which I stepped in, and the shower head was broken off. When we informed the front desk at checkout, we didn't so much as a "sorry for your inconvenience." It's a decent hotel, but can be run down in places, so if you stay here, be vigilant because the staff will do nothing to take care of you. The location is nice, near the convention center, the lake, and only two miles from downtown.

1. White stains on both sides of duvet cover. Carpet dirty. 2. No valet service. Had to figure out where to get a cart, & drag our own luggage to 4th floor. 3. Holes in washcloth. 4. No complimentary coffee in Lobby for guests. Starbuck's Coffee booth closed at night. 5. Picked up radio/clock & battery fell out. No battery cover. 6. Pillows were dingy (under pillowslips, showed on ends. 7. For $205 per night, it shouldn't be a Motel 6. Positives: Restaurant was great. No charge for parking. Lobby & lobby restrooms were clean.

We booked this for a very cheap Priceline rate and were rewarded many times over. Parking was plentiful, the hotel clean through and through, and the bed was like an aircraft carrier. It was huge, and I'm a big (tall) guy, so that's saying something. Enjoyed the exercise room (on the smaller side), pool (large and great for families) and hot tub (spacious). The only downside was that our room overlooked the tracks, but we didn't mind as we spent most of our time exploring downtown Madison (a great city). The hotel itself is not in a pedestrian area, but the easy access to 12/18 puts you anywhere in a matter of minutes. I'll definately come back to this one.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The two clerks at the desk when I checked in were rude and messed up my room twice before I got the correct room. The same two people were at the desk when I checked out and the female at the desk ignored me until she HAD to help me and then was rude and never even asked me how my stay was. I will not be staying there again. The only nice part about this hotel is its close to the expo center and I guess down town.

Big rooms, nice beds, big parking lot, pretty lobby, nice people, great location, couldn't hear traffic, no pool :(, but no biggee.

Nice, well maintained rooms. Unfortunately there was a high school wrestling tournament in town and the hotel was overrun with busloads of teenagers. The front desk couldn't get us in a room away from them despite our early check-in time.

It's very good service,but a kind of room very old too.This place nothing for travel you know?
