My Worst Nightmare
By Megan, 09/11/08
There was absolutely nothing good to say about this place. I went there in 2002 for my 15th birthday party. The hotel allowed guests to drink out in the open and wander around in a drunk stupor. When my friends and I went to the front desk about the issue, they did nothing. Also, when we were packing up and getting ready to leave the next room, a man was able to get into the room before we left. It turns out the front desk had rented one of our rooms to someone else because the room showed up as available in their system. Last, but certainly not least, there was a post-prom party taking place down the hall. At 3 in the morning, my dad had to call down to the front desk because a domestic dispute was taking place outside of my parents' room. The lady at the front desk had to call 911 and the police showed up around 3:30 in the morning. So much for sleeping that night. Both the young man and young woman denied it had happened and THE HOTEL LET THEM STAY. I'm sorry but that is completely unacceptable by my standards. I am SO glad this Ramada Inn is no longer there. I'd much rather have the Golden Corral that is located there now. P.S. It won't let me select 2002 but that is the correct date.

hotel of horrors part II
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/05
I don't know where to even begin... The hotel rooms were filthy (e.g. cigarette butts under the bed), coffee pots in the rooms were dirty, toilet didn't work, lock on the door was broken, and my kids got a rash after swimming in the pool. The worst part was the behavior of the management. They were unwilling to apologize for any of the above inconveniences and treated us as if we were the ones with the problems. I would never stay there again. If only corporate Ramada Inn knew how this hotel was ruining their name ....

Excellent Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/16/05
We needed 10 rooms with two double beds for our chorus during the same weekend as UW Graduation. We had originally been placed at the Hilton, but found out that they had placed four people in rooms with only one bed - Not Acceptable! So one of our members did some searching around and found that the Ramada Inn had 20 rooms available for the two nights that we needed them - and all of them had two double beds. We went ahead and booked the 10 rooms. Then one of our members went online to check out the amenities of the motel only to find three really bad reviews of the motel. We didn't want to jeopardize our fun weekend with having to stay in a bad motel, so one of our members drove up unannounced to check it out. She was promptly given a tour of the facilities and was able to view a room that was empty. She felt it was very sufficient for our purposes and confirmed the reservation for 10 rooms. The Manager also comped us a room to rehearse in the morning of our compeition, and again, a room for us to sit down and eat in after the competition. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. The service we received was excellent - better than we had ever had at hotels we had stayed in at in previous years at Oshkosh. Each time I had contact with any of their staff it was nothing less than excellent service. We are considering returning next year because of the service we were given.

Don't Stay Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/05
The rooms were horrible! We had two rooms - neither looked like they had been cleaned in months. One of the rooms had vent above the window wouldn't close so we froze most of the night. The staff was rude and unwilling to help. I would sleep in my car before staying here again.

Hotel of horrors
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/05
When we checked in we were given a room where the sheets had not been changed and their was urine in the toilet and on the toilet seat. We were moved to another room without even an apology. This room did not have heat and the heater did not work at all. Then we were moved a third time and the noise from the pool was unbearable at midnight and also had no heat. We moved to our fourth room after midnight and it was okay. We were never apologized to instead we were treated as the ones with the problem. Eventhough the room was inexpensive we were very disappointed with the accomodations. 2/7/05

affordable hotel, poor conditions
By Night Owl, 04/29/04
The hotel itself isn't a bad place. Our bed was dirty, I swear hadn't been changed. The coffee maker had old coffee and dirty cups. The floors all around the hotel were absolutely disgusting. I, myself, have worked in the hotel business, I know things can get busy and overlooked, but it was disgusting.
