Quality Inn Huntington, Huntington

The hotel is located down the road from a strip club and a couple of bars. The first room that we checked into had hair and "dirt" on the sheets. We went to the front desk and the desk clerk apologized and moved us to another room. The beds in the second room appeared to at least be clean. If we were going to be staying in the area for more than one night, I would have moved to another hotel. The service from the desk clerk and the breakfast attendant were the only bright spots in this dirty, dismal hotel. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The hotel claims that they have remodeled the place. YEAH RIGHT....they are in the process of doing something. The construction trucks and workers stop to let you pull into a parking space and then get back to work behind you car tearing up the cement. The room wasn’t cleaned, the bathroom smelled like urine. Think you’re going to get some sleep??? Think again....they worked for all hours of the night. You could hear a saw and hammering all night long. My husband tried to talk to the girl at the front counter but she acted as if he wasn’t talking and all she kept saying was that she couldn’t give him a receipt. He explained that we were a military family on orders for a move out of state and we needed it to get reimburse. She said she would email it to us but we never got it. I called back and tried to talk to her also but she must not be able to comprehend what we were saying to her. I asked for the manager to call me back so we could get a refund on the room from lack of sleep but it is now August 29th and still no call. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL....it is dirty, horrible customer service, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they had bed bugs.

We don't travel much. We went down to Huntington, WV to check it out as we are thinking of moving there. We stayed here at the Q.I. back in October 2009 for a few nights. We loved it. The hotel personnel were beyond great. Very helpful and kind. Always smiling and the room we had was wonderful. Spotless. The King bed was one of the most comfortable ones we had slept in since we left our own. We were very impressed. We are going back in April because now we need to set up our new home. We will again write another review and I can guarantee that it will be just as great and true as it proved to be back in Oct. 2009.

Well, first let me say if you want to allow pets that is O.K. but please wash your bed linens after they leave. I am highly allergic to cats and after feeling a tightening in my throat, I inspected and found cat hair all over my bedspread, then on the comforter underneath, and sadly even on my sheets. Obviously nothing had been changed from previous guests. Our room was filthy. Bathroom floor was disgusting! Hair all over floor. Obvious handprints all over mirror. Please tell me that wasn't the final coat of paint! Paint peeling everywhere. Ceiling tiles sagging from water damage. To sum it up, this was one of the most disgusting places I have had the misfortune of being in.

wasnt inpressed since it was just remodeled. my room looked like a 5 year old remodeled it. sink countertop falling down,drawers broken on the dresser, bathroom door was unlevel and wouldnt close.. then the topper i was in a huge hurry to leave due to a 8 hour drive home and there was a bad storm coming.. so i forgot to checkout.. i called them after i left and told me that we were gone and to check me out.. they said fine.. the next day i called to have my receipts for my 2 rooms faxed to my house and they had charged for for another day since i didnt check out in person.. i called to complain and the manager said that it was my problem i should have checked out in person. and that he wouldnt reemburse me.and of course the charged me for a friday night which cost an extra 10 dollars.. well my company wasnt happy and they docked my salary for the extra charges on the card so i had to pay over 180 out of my own pocket because they are greedy and took advantage of me..i will never stay there again and i hope that whoever reads this wont either..

The whole stay was great. It was very clean and the remodeling was nice. Every room has a frig, microwave, and iron. We come to Kenova alot to see family and we will be back to stay here. I would recommend this hotel to others.

I was very pleased with the accommodations when comparing hotels to others in the area. For maybe $5-$10 more than others, this hotel offers rooms with a microwave, fridge, coffee pot and iron. The fridge and microwave were great for having my 9 month old and having to make bottles. Not many places offer these included in their standard price. Most charge you more for rooms that include those items. The room service was good when it comes. The cleanliness was not the best, but it was still clean. The location was in a good area, however, you don't want hurry up the entrance with a low profile vehicle or you will bottom out. If you have to cross the traffic, make sure you wait until nothing is coming.

I LIKED THE PRICE FOR IT... and the cleaness and i would most definality come back to vist. I like how u can have PETS.. And The Babbysitting Care that was GREAT...

We like it for the price. We stay there so we can hunt in Ohio. We like the rooms that have a frig so we don't have to drag cooler with us.

We traveled to Huntington for the marathon this past weekend and made reservations at the Executive Inn and Suites via Lodging.com. The photos made the place look decent enough, and it was relatively close to where we needed to be, so we were pleased with the deal we got. Until we arrived in town and got our first real look at the place. The place looked like a set from the '80s t.v. show "Hunter," and I totally expected a crack dealer to pop his or her head out of one of the doorways. The bedspread was stained with an awful rust colored material (it honestly could have been blood), the remote control was on the floor under a sticky, candy covered table, and the toilet refused to flush. We stayed 5 minutes and then left to find other accomodations - at the Super 8, which was clean and fabulous! It's definitely not worth the $20 you will save over other places. Unless you like this sort of experience.
