The worst place I've ever stayed bar none
By TravelLover, 08/18/09
We paid over $100 for a room worth about $30 a night. The was no elevator, no air conditioning, no tv, and no phone in the room. The room was small, grim, and dirty. There was no room service and the kitchen closes at 8 pm! The service in the 'dining room' was incredibly slow. The carpets were stained and the shower stall was coated in mildew. To make matters worse, the inn staff were snotty, condescending, and sometimes downright rude. There is no parking available other than general park spots which require endless circling of the lot. The only was this place stays in business is because it is located by Mt. Rainier (& inside a park where competition cannot move in!) Do yourself a favor & just stay outside the park. Camping in a tent would offers better amenities that this place.

Easy walks, wonderful meal by Chef Tripp
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/09
Chef Tripp prepared the best meal my wife had during the entire 5 week vacation. Delightful young man, his to-order vegetarian plate included grilled strawberries, broccoli, zucchini, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and more. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the adjoining sitting room was delightful. The views from the porch are great. We preferred our room up the mountain at Paradise Inn because of it’s immediate access to high alpine trails. Loved the whole experience.

What A View!!!
By Diane, 12/20/06
When you walk out the back door, Mr. Rainier is right there!! On a clear view you can see the whole mountain. On a cloudy day the mountain disappears into the clouds. The Inn itself has a cozy, cabin in the woods feel. The restaurant has 4 star meals very good and a nice wine list also.
