Better to stay at the KOA in a tent
Oceanfront building* In the room, peeling wall paper, old broke-down bed that smelled like sweaty parts, tiny balconies, funky bathroom (both knobs for the shower showed cold, tub cruddy, toilet slow to drain "double flush time"), entrance door had to be double checked to make sure it closed and locked, tv was ancient and tiny, sliding glass door was well on its way to coming off.(second hand info to follow: I was told by another guest that hers fell off and hurt her, she was upgraded to a corner suite, but said it was just as bad as the regular room), loud cooling unit(chill water system).
Parking...you must pay to park at the oceanfront building, or you can park across the street, a 4 lane, for free, or valet for free, sweet, free valet....not so much, they take forever, 15-20 minutes for get your car back, on drop off, we left the keys in the car and got our claim ticket, about an hour and a half later we happened to walk by the area again, and to our amazement, there sat our car with the keys still in it, not moved. Pool bar closes at 5pm. Food is over priced and not all that good.
Location is great for me, at the end of "the strip" so the beach is not crowded, and a bus that takes you down the strip picks you up about a block away.
