Sheraton Richmond Park South Hotel, Richmond

WE HAD OUR ONE AND ONLY WEDDING AT THE SHERATON. THE BEST ADVISE I CAN GIVE TO A NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLE IS DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT THE SHERATON. WE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE LADY COORDINATING OUR WEDDING THE WHOLE YEAR WE WERE PLANNING IT. IT WAS HORRIBLE. THE HOTEL IS OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH A PENNY. ON TOP OF THAT WE WROTE A NICE LONG EMAIL TO THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THE HOTEL A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM. THE ONLY NICE THING I WILL SAY IS THEY HAVE A GREAT CHEF THERE.

I booked my wedding reception at the Sheraton Park South and found that our room accomodations for that weekend were not worth the market prices. We booked a junior suite and due to a reservations error, could not stay in 1 room for both nights, we had to move rooms. The first jr. suite we were in had peeling wallpaper and water stains on the ceiling. There was also a huge red stain on the carpet, and the bathroom door would not close all the way. There were marks in the wall were funiture had been pushed in too far and crumbled plaster on the floor. Also, the cleaning staff apparently never looks up, as on top of a mirror in the room, there was a cigar sitting on the frame. The second room we were in was not much better. I was surprised that a Sheraton property would have such obvious room flaws. I am by no means a perfectionist and these issues were very apparent - easy to see in the room. The 2nd junior suite we were moved to was not much better. We found the front desk to be very unorganized (hence the room mix up) and there seems to be a lot of turnover in staff there. On the positive, we did find the food to be very good in the restaurant although the service to be slow. Overall though, for the price I don't think this hotel is worth the time or money - you can find better accomodations in the area.

Nice room and excercise ammenities. The service was adequate and there were plenty of choices for entretainment and dinner nearby. Location is a bit more south of RIchmond than I like, but not bad at all given the very nice surroundings in the back of the hotel (running trails and ponds).

I liked the type of atmosphere. The rooms were ok. I mean they were nice but they weren`t the best. I would come back but I wouldn`t tell my friends about it.

Does this only happen to me? Waitress seats me for the Breakfast Buffet and gives me an orange juice, then dissapears. I would have loved a glass of water or a refill on the orange juice, but she ignores me like I am not even there. the other waiter seats peoplenext to me, notices that I have nothing to drink, but goes back to chatting at the checkout without a word. Mind you, I was one of TWO tables in the restaurant! One waiter per table and she still couldn't check on me! I had to get up and ask for my check! Some service gaurentee!
