Wyndham Richmond Airport Hotel, Henrico

We picked this hotel because of the free breakfast and internet as well as the option to have a fridge and microwave in the room. When we arrived at the hotel we asked for a room with both a fridge and a microwave, but our room only had the fridge, which really wasn't much of a problem. However, my husband received 3 breakfast slips allowing one person to have free breakfast with each, each slip had an expiration date on them for the three days we stayed. We assumed that's all we would receive and only got food for my son. The first morning there the woman at breakfast said we could take any non-hot food items back for our son, we took a banana, milk, and cereal. The next morning however another woman told us we could not take anything back and tried to contact the front desk when my husband took food to my son anyway. We left a day early because we were fed up with the hotel. The room itself was rather clean, although the rug seemed sticky and my sons feet were dirty after running around on it. Had a slight mildew smell. The beds were clean smelling.

This Richmond hotel was the worse hotel experience I've ever had...room not ready at 4:30, downgraded from a suite to a king room that was also still dirty, elevator stuck, the filthy pool needs to be flushed -800 screaming kids using it as a bath tub until 10 PM...comp. breakfast of powdered eggs, yuk...one night was enough for this life time...who manages that place ??? awful ! ...the bed was ok...

I LOVED this place. Once i got to the airport i called and was picked up. Checking was A+ so was check out and transportation back to airport. My room was cleaned organized. I have NO complaints. Across from the hotel there is a variety of stores for shopping and also for dining. You've got from SAM's, Target, DressBarn, T-mobile, and many more. As for food you have the restaurant of the Hotel and room service woohoo, TGIF, cracker barrel, mc donald's, mexican cuisine, and others. I recommend this hotel. Close to airport. NO bed bugs as previously read here. NO smell.

I checked in last weekend and stayed on the 3rd floor. In passing, the hotel was under renavations, certain areas were a mess, seem as if they had horrible water damage to the 1st floor, my room smelled musty and had a reeping smell, my door knob in the bathroom was about to come off. The pool and hot tub closed at 10pm. The bathroom was out of service on the main floor. Room service was HIGH and all of this for $142.00. Oh and the sheets had stains on them (perm stains). The night staff was friendly and very helpful, but the morning staff was not so helpful. I will be sure to do my reasearch next time. And my elevator was close to my room, but it put me out by the stinky area of the hotel.
