Rodeway Inn, Petersburg

I decided to stay here after driving from Clearwater FL. I was driving back home to New Jersey. The lobby was clean and fresh smelling as well as the room. Overall, this was a great hotel. No bugs here.

Staff was very accommodating and continental breakfast was good. Can't beat the price. We stayed on our way south and if we were not so tired, we would have left immediately. The towels were grey and the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed for years. The mirror had lipstick on it and the bathroom sink was absolutely falling apart. Can you give a negative rating?

When you pull up to the motel, the first sight you see is a room with ugly curtains, that used to be a restraunt, the area does not look safe. We get in our room and the TV stand is a drawer from the dresser. The bathroom light blinked off and on everytime we used it. For the price we paid, I would have to be in dire need to stop again

We booked this hotel at the last minute. I usually read customer reviews but I didn't have time. We were very disappointed with the hotel. It is not very well kept up. Our bathroom was not very clean. The toliet. sink and tub needed a good scrubbing. The floor had feces on it and the mirror had obscenities written on it. It seemed as though the carpet in the room had not been vaccumed in a while. I truly disappointed. We would have left but we arrived in the middle of the night and could not get our money back because we booked within 6 hours of our stay. We were in Virginia on February 25, 2007.

I stayed here with my family for two weeks, while I was looking for a temporary apartment and at reclassification training. The hotel was number one in customer service and guest satisfication, also they had a nice pool outside where my family went swimmin every day, the housekeeping did a wonderful job. The room was very clean, fresh odor, a lot of tv channels and a friendly staff which was very helpful. The price was also budget. Not to expensive.
