Worst experience EVER!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/09
The lobby was filty, chips all over the floor, the furniture in the lobby was so old and dirty it was discolored! My FIRST room the AC unit was hanging by a wire off the wall and not working and it was HOT! And the nonsmoking room had clearly been smoked in as it stunk! I got a second room which I really needed a fridge in because I was staying a week. They finally find me one that appears ok at first although it is still not well taken care of. Well the fridge didnt work and the microwave might have, but without a knob its hard to tell. All was good otherwise until the person upstairs turned on the water at which time water POURED out of the ceiling! Needless to say when I went back to complain I told them I did not want another room I wanted a refund. It takes alot for me to complain but this was ridiculous! The staff that I had to deal with was friendly and she made calls and got me a room in another hotel and they honored my Days Inn rate, so she was accomadating and very apologetic and sincere. Although I cannot imagine that was the first time she's heard this. Another co-worker stayed there, she had no actual room issues although she did say that everything was stained and the room had a weird smell. I must say I have NEVER had problems with Days Inn before, but now I will never stay at one again. If Days Inn allows there name to be associated with a place like this, then I want nothing to do with them. It was unreal!

Terrible times 10!
By John C, 8/18/08
We stayed here because we went to Minticello and Ash Lawn-Highland both in Charlottesville, and it was the only hotel we could find that wasn't booked. The room was hot as you-know-where, and we had to buy a fan from a nearby store because the AC didn't work. It was filthy, too. The microwave had bits of food in it, and it looked like tha bathtub hadn't been cleaned since 1989! I do have to say, however, that the beds were quite comfortable, but the room was hot, so I only slept with a sheet and in my underpants. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

never again
By Cathy, 6/3/07
I booked this location because we were looking for an inexpensive place to stay the might before moving our daughter home from UVa. This place is the worst! Our room did not have functioning A/C. and we complained when we left for dinner. When we got back they acted as if we had not told them before. They said it could not be fixed and moved us to another room which reeked so badly of smoke (although is was supposed to be non-smoking) that I could not stand it...so I slept in the hot room and my husband slept in the cool smoke-infused one. The faucets leaked and the exterior hallways smelled of urine. Do not stay here!

Get a New Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/06
The managment and staff were horrible. I personally have worked in hotels and do not see how you have any loyal customers with the staff you have. I will never stay there again

Don't Stay Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/06
I don't know what pictures they're showing on the website, but this is not the hotel I stayed at, at this address. It was run down and disgusting. Most of the staff didn't speak English. The rooms were nasty. Our door didn't lock properly so we had to slam it really hard each time. The bathtubs had water oozing from under the tubs. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The staff was very unfriendly. The rates were ridiculous for what you got. Should have been about $30/day for that "value". They are probably involved in price gouging since they told us after we arrived (of course) that the price for Friday and Saturday went UP $45 a night!! Absolutely ridiculous, again, especially since the rooms were, at best, a one star rating. I would NEVER stay here again and I suggest you don't either. Only good thing was the location. Easy to get to off the highway and close to shopping, etc.
