Holiday Inn Exp Dc Springfield, Springfield

My friends and our grandkids stayed there while touring DC. The motel staff was friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with everything. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, rooms clean. The van service excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone.

My husband & I stayed here for 8 days, visiting DC. I picked this hotel because of the hotel extras. The room itself was nice, could have used a refrigerator, but overall a nice room. The breakfast selection was great. Eggs, french toast, sausage/bacon, fruit, yogurts, bagels, coffee, juice and more. Made it easy to eat and get started on our day instead of having to find a place to go every morning. The shuttle to the metro was great and so much easier than renting a car and dealing with DC traffic. They also shuttled us to dinner every night, the mall and other local places. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator was painfully slow, with only 1 working when we first arrived, but was fixed and back to being speedy by the end of our visit. We liked that they had an Avis car rental service on site. We decided to take a day trip to Hershey World and paid only $35 for a sub compact. At the end of our day we just dropped the keys off at the front desk and they returned them to Avis when they opened in the morning.

Checked in for 3 nights at a -what I thought was a high price. But the kids wanted to stay here. Two rooms , our room the the wi fi did not work. In the kids room the TV did not work . They brought another tv - half in color and half green . Also the wi fi did not work in the kids room, I have teenagers and they play ebox live..So of course this did not go over well . So I say stay at your own risk that things might or might not work . And no they have not made it right . But rooms were clean .Front desk not to helpful

First let me say the staff was friendly so no complaints there! The breakfast was just okay compared to other Holiday Inn Express's! The room was in need of MAJOR upgrades! The tv in room 300 was old and only got 34 channel (10 only worked). While taking a shower the bathtub filled up and it soon turned in to taking a bath!! The pool is very small and the lifeguard on duty was rude! I ALWAYS stay at holiday inn expresses but NEVER again at this one!

Chose the Holiday Inn Express for 2007 Thanksgiving 3-day stay and was not disappointed. The staff was wonderful, coffee 24 hrs. per day and the room was very nice except for a stain on the rug and that was minimal impact on our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone but a bit pricey compared to other HIX. MaggieRedwing

Holiday Inn Express in Springfield was ideally located to where I was going for business. They offered complimentary breakfast and all the standard amenities. My room was very nice, nothing fancy, but the price was right. I would definitely stay here again when I do business in the Sprinfield/Fairfax area.

Recently stayed at HIE in Springfield,VA. Check-in and out was fast and very courteous. We got in early and arrangements were made quickly to get us in our rooms a bit early, very nice after a long drive from Va Beach. Hotel lobby was very clean with free online service available. The lobby also had a widescreen TV with CNN on to catch up on the latest events while waiting in the lobby for Metro Shuttles or friends. Continental breakfast is offered and some box lunches for the on the run types. Shuttle service was available to the Franconia Metro Station, eta about 5 minutes however sometimes it took a while for the shuttle to pick us up at the lobby and the metro station, up to 15 minutes..but hey its free, cant beat it. Its way better than driving into DC it it world renowned traffic. We stayed in an executive sweet on the 10th floor. The room was very spacious A desk, wingback chairs, good bed and good lighting with clean and large bathrooms with all the ammenities. It was nice to come back to the room after a long day discovering DC. The only one small drawback I saw was that the elevators were just a tad bit slow but hey its all good! Would definetly stay at this hotel again.

We spent a week on vacation to travel to the area with our 2 young children. Excellent service to the metro and D.C. Rooms were very clean. Staff was helpful. Breakfast area was ALWAYS clean and fresh food no matter what time. Impressed that there was a lifeguard at the pool which was very clean also. For a vacation with just wanting a place to sleep it was a good experience!
