Best Western Central Plaza, Fredericksburg

I was on the road with my dog and 14 mth old daughter, when I got a flat tire on I-95. Our vehicle was packed to capacity with boxes, it was raining, and, needless to say, I was exhausted and frazzled by the time I got my tired changed. It was a Sunday, so I couldn't get the tire repaired, and I was two hours from home. I was so worried I would have trouble finding a place that was affordable, safe, clean, and would take my dog. Lucky me! The first place I checked was the Best Western at Central Plaza. They advertise not allowing pets, but do apparently have a couple rooms where you can have pets for a nominal fee. The front desk service was SUPERB! The woman filled out my check-in card for me, gave me the channels for Disney and Nick for my daughter, told me where to park so I wouldn't have to lug my daughter, dog, and luggage up the stairs, and provided a friendly face when I needed it. The room was great! Microwave, frig, table with chairs, AND desk with a chair. The bed was comfy, with three pillows and two bedside tables. Great lighting, good tv... Everything was clean--probably cleaner than most places I've stayed. And my daughter and I enjoyed our continental breakfast. Because it is across from the Central Park shopping, I had no trouble finding a place to get my tire fixed and have lunch. Absolutely a wonderful establishment for the price.

Quiet at night, relatively clean, close to a ton of shops in the Central Park area. Continental breakfast nothing to write home about. Fridge and microwave were a plus.

I drove 4 hours to see my brother who was staying across the street at the Holiday Inn Select. He is going to Iraq. I came there to have dinner with him and then drive back the following day. I normally like to stay in 'bells & whistles' hotels, but since I would just be basically sleeping and getting up and going home, I decided to go 'cheap.' But this hotel was everything that I needed. Nice rooms, clean, quiet, nice bathroom, and a microwave and fridge in the room. PLUS WIRELESS NETWORK SERVICE. I couldn't have been more pleased!!!

This was one of the best motel stays I've had in years. It is convenient to I-95 and quiet, despite close proximity to the highways. It is close to a strip of malls so you can find anything you want. The motel was attractively landscaped, the rooms were intelligently designed with comfortable bed, large TV, and good workspace with WiFi. It was exceptionally clean with good bathroom amenities. A big plus was in-room refrigerator and microwave. Continental breakfast was decent (bagels, donuts, yogurt, juice, coffee/tea/cocoa) and the front office staff friendly. I would DEFINITELY return to this place.
