A Great Place, practically on the Mountain..
By timbovt, 12/24/09
I have stayed at the Cascades many times. Great location, great value for a Killington hotel. You can't get any closer to the mountain. Only thing better would be if you could ski back to this hotel. Cozy bar with fireplace, nice pool with a view of the mountain while your relaxing in the hot tub..... Breakfast buffet has huge selection of offerings hot and cold. You can grab and go to get out on the hill, they have a shuttle right at the front just hop on,free, it drops you off at the base lodge.... Not sure why others have complained about the rooms there, I think they are quite adequate, comfy beds, great views of the mountain or the valley. Will be back many more times I am sure.....

The Cascades Lodge has brought my family many wonderful memories. Of many world travels I will take the Cascades any day!

Wet Floors
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/6/07
We too were overcharged and had to dispute our bill at checkout. The rooms smelled and the floors were soaking wet. Everything looked outdated, including the pool and hot tub.

In need of new staff & updating
By splat, 3/5/07
Our trip could not have been more impacted by the poor facilities and impolite staff. There were billing discrepanicies and they were handled with basically "take it or leave with no refund". I would check my bill carefully or not provide a credit card to them if I had to go there again - which I would not.

what a nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/3/07
Dirty, smelly rooms, outdated dirty pool, lots of hidden charges. worst place I ever stayed at. Will never go back. Front desk people were rude to not just us. Saw many people complaining about their bills at checkout.

Wonderful lodge in Killington
By H, 10/10/06
Great lodge walking distance from ski slope. I went with friends to see fall colors and will return to ski. Nice indoor heated pool. Great breakfast and nice bar in the lounge. Can play pool and board game. Great place to take the family. Staff was very attentive and the owner Pia is very friendly and helpful.

I'm going back!
By Maureen, 5/8/05
Nicest owners you'll ever meet. Went out of their way to take good care of us. Can't wait to go back!

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/05
Service was sooo friendly, John was VERY nice. The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Andrew (co-owner with his folks) was like hanging out with a good friend and boy, does he know his beers! My husband and I had a delightful time and we will absolutely stay with this warm, family-run lodge next time we come to Killington. The only complaint I have is some of the lodgers that were staying there who had no respect for the owners or other lodgers. Thankfully they were few so it wasn't bad.

Not what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/04
Terrible place. Dirty unkempt rooms. Tastless breakfast and horrible front desk staff that I dealt with by the name of John. He was rude and wouldn;t get off the phone to help me! The pool needs some help but the bartender was friendly and advised me on other places to stay. At least someone in the establishment knew where to go..... Look somewhere else.
