Ski, Ski, Ski, Sleep!
By ,
I have been there at the same time as the large family in one of the other reviews. It was great to be with them. Monica and Matt were great to us! Me and 3 buddies skied 5 days and only paid around $325 each for the rooms and lift tickets. Fire place, Hot Tub, Tv room, all were cozy. If you want to ski and stay on the cheap, this is the place!

Loaction and great hot tub
By ,
Brighton Lodge with a small effort could be the best deal going in Utah ski country. What they have is location. Location to lifts and a great ski pub called Molly McGee's. They also have one of the best hot tubs anywhere. What they really, really need is new beds and some better lighting in their rooms. I'm not kidding, if my room had had a good mattress and good reading light I would have been a very happy camper. Brighton Lodge is not a four star place but with a few basic and easy upgrades (beds and lights) it would hold my interest for years to come. The common areas are great places to meet people and the staff is low key and helpful. But seriously Brighton Lodge needs to address bedding and lighting. Towels need an upgrade too. I'd still go back for the location and hot tub!!

10th year in a row! Back for more...
By ,
We take over the Brighton Lodge for the same weekend each year, in late January. The same group of 50 people come back each year, again and again. The location is phenomenal, the facilities are spartan in their austerity, but functional and adequate. One has to remember that you aren't there for the amenities, but rather to ski until you drop (and then soak in the hot tub). Monica and the staff are always willing to help out, or to locate an extra pillow or roll-away bed at the last minute. The rooms and common areas are worn, but clean, and the hot water fop the showers never runs out. The convenience and comfortable ambience are more than enough to compensate for the fact that one is staying in a cinderblock dormitory building in a tiny room. If you want Aspen or Gstaad, then the Brighton Lodge isn't for you. If you want to ski every run until they close the lifts, and be able to drop in with your kids for hot cider all day, them come here.

Best Overall Place To Stay And Ski
By ,
If your goal is to ski, this is the place. The only way the Brighton Lodge can be disqualified as "ski in, ski out" is that the lift is so close, you won't have to ski at all to get there. Roll out of bed onto the lift. Best skiing in Utah and something for every level of skier. Amazing variety all in one place. We've stayed at the lodge 7 times (for a week each stay, not consecutive years) and always want to return. The lodge is cozy. We've always met great people and the staff are fun. The restaurant (also next to the lift) has good food and a great beer selection. You don't go because it's a beautiful building. You go because it's a dedicated support system for the avid skier. The beds are good and supportive and the baths are clean. The price is the best you'll find. Ski school is also tops for all ages as well as affordable.

Not what it appears to be
By ,
Unsupervised children were using the hot tub as a swimming pool in addition to jumping off the roof. This might not have been such an issue if it did not occur past midnight. The people who run the establishment are nice, but the clientele is "low brow". Do not go buy the lovely picture on the website. This is a picture of the ski lodge/restaurant. The actual accommodations are disappointing.

Brighton Lodge is great!
By ,
We have been going to Brighton for 21 years - and all but 2 have stayed at the lodge ... you can't beat the ski in/ski out aspect and its great not having phones! Really! The common tv room is good too - you meet other people and see movies you probably wouldn't think of otherwise. Having a pool and spa is so relaxing after skiing all day - we always go on our anniversary - so we take a bottle of champagne and relax!
