saved the day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/10
Our power was out in SW Oklahoma, we took a room at this hotel and I can't say enough good about the staff, the hotel, the food, the bar etc. My kids swam in the pool, we had dinner in the restaurant and then my husband and I enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge afterwards. We had a bad, cold day and everyone there was so kind and helpful. I had never noticed this hotel, but believe me, I will never forget it.

THE WORST HOTEL EVER!
By CSC, 10/12/09
WE WERE IN WICHITA FALLS FROM COLORADO SPRINGS AND THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE, THE FOOD WAS COLD, THE FRONT DESK PERSONNEL WAS RUDE, THE PHONES WERE NOT WORKING, THE WATER WAS COLD, LINENS WERE DIRTY. WE HAD A LEAK AND NO ONE EVER CAME BY TO FIX IT. NOR OFFER ANOTHER ROOM, NO RECEPTIONS ON THE TV'S, NOT WORTH THE STAY OR THE MONEY THEY CHARGE, OH AND NOT TO MENTION RAT TRAPS EVERYWHERE WITH A DEAD MOUSE! JUST CLOSE IT DOWN, OR HIRE ANOTHER MANAGER, COULD NOT EVEN BOOK AN EVENT BECAUSE PERSONNEL OR MANAGERS DID NOT EVEN NO WHAT WAS GOING ON. LAST TIME LAST STAY!

FLAT AWFUL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/09
This hotel needs serious work and attention, myself and other co workers were in the city for a seminar. The rooms were very dirty (ie: cobwebs & grime) ..... (condom wrappers, bloody sheets, head boards falling off the walls, runinng toilets, not enough light bulbs, blower dryer did not work, no remote controls for TV).....The elevators in the hotel did not work, Bar was not stocked with mixers, Restaurant was not open & no continental breakfast. This hotel was shown on the internet as a 4 Star.... In my opinion this hotel should not rank at all. Please think twice before making reservations.

This place is Terrible!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/08
I was there for a conference and wished I was anywhere but the Howard Johnson. There is no room service ( cancelled that week?) Their buffet in their building is terrible and good luck if the credit card machine is ever working. When I arrived the pool was shut down because someone used the restroom in it. My key to my rrom broke twice and to top it off the air conditioner went out for hours during my stay. I was not even given any sort of comp as a result of sitting in the heat with no air or power. Do yourself a favor- STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

cold showers in February
By Hope, 02/06/08
I reserved our rooms a month in advance. I requested SMOKING ROOMS, continental breakfast and hot tub/ swimming pool. I called the night before we were to checkin to make sure all was well. I was reasured that we would have our requested rooms and a continental breakfast was served every morning from 6:00 A. M. to 10:00 A.M. We arrived on Friday afternoon at check-in we were told that all the smoking rooms were filled and the continental breakfast was now bar that cost $6.99 per person. The staff member that checked us in looked to be under 18 he was confused as to why the continental breakfast had been changed to a buffet and his supervisor was very rude to us and to him when he questioned. To top it all off we had no hot water at all the whole time we stayed there. Even the Hot Tub was cold. A water pipe had broken and was leaking down all floors in the hall. Our room cards didn't work all the time to let us in the building or our rooms. Our stay was not a pleasant one needless to say. In the mornings when we left to go to our meetings their was beer bottles and towels thrown on the floor in the hallway. I would get it writing from this motel before I reservered aroom there. Our whole club stayed there at this motel for the World of Wheels Show we all were very disapointed in the hotel over all. We each was given a different discount or non at all. We would have gladly paid full price just to be treated better than we were.

Felt at "home"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/07
Needed cable interent hook-up and was excited to finally find a hotel that offered it. I even had a little bit of trouble getting connected and they were able to help me out. The atrium is really neat--big, open and spacious with a regular pool, kiddie pool and hot tub. Our room was clean and big. We were a little disappointed that breakfast wasn't provided, but there is a resturant that you can eat at. Overall, this was a great experience for not only business but could be great for families too.

Great for families
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/05
It has everything you would want and more out of a hotel. I loved the big indoor swimming pool. The indoor area between the rooms gave a great place to hang out and have fun with your family.
