you'll be sorry....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/11
everything smelled musty and dank, totally outdated. These people are cheap! they even inscribed their name, address, & phone number on a cheap $9 walmart special coffee maker! common! don't expect much from this place! spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else!

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/11
My wife and I didn't even stay. We walked into the bathroom, that didn't even have a door, and there was a water bug crawling at the ceiling. The toilet had pee marks all around the floor and the tub had a dull haze as though it hadn't been cleaned. We walked out and went to the office, laid the key on mangers counter and went to find ourselves a room elsewhere. Cost me $57 to find out. Hope this helps someone else to DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Room reasonable price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/10
The room was clean and there was no sign of wear or lack of maintenance. No pool but I have never swam in a motel pool yet so who cares ? We will go back next time we visit.

Awful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/09
I stayed there for a weeks osting more than 200 dollars and they only cleaned my room once in that whole week. My 2 yr old had gotten up in the middle of the night and but toothpaste all over the top sheet it was there for days then when they somewhat cleaned my room they just flipped this sheet over! The room smelled there were no towels for us to use and they clamed to be a 5 star hotel to me as well would not even give them 1! Please do not stay here. It is truly disgusting!

Avoid the Edelweisse
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/07
I was in New Braunfels for a family visit and not there for the annual Brautwurst Festival. The town was fully booked or I would have checked out after the first night. First, there were the ants in the well worn loveseat and chair. There was no door on the bathroom. There was no coffee for the coffeepot. There was no, as listed, hairdryer. There was no iron for the ironing board. My room was not cleaned after the first of my unfortunate four days there, and the man at the desk was very rude. The room was nice and large but dank and very musty smelling. The Edelweisse has a website with nice pictures and I knew that it might be a bit eclectic but what I found was most unexpected. I wish now that I had checked reviews before booking there. Never again.

Absolutly dreadful!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/1/07
They moved us twice because not all of the rooms were funtioning properly. The 1st room, the water in the the bathroom tub could not be turned off. In the 2nd room, the TV only had 13 channels. They never apologized for our trouble. When we informed them that we wanted a refund, and that we would be staying elsewhere. They said that WE broke the plumbing and that WE had cause enough headache for the evening, and that we should "just leave!" I would NEVER recommend that anyone should stay here, even as a LAST RESORT!

The room was fine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/19/07
This hotel was clean and a good value. A heavy thunderstorm knocked the wireless out of service, but beyond that we had a good experience at this typical hotel.

Awful Does Not Descibe This Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/06
We were picking up our daughter from Tennis Camp and we were going to spend two days in New Braunfels. We decided this in the last minute and started hunting for available hotels. We connected with the Eidelweiss who's Mgr. told us they were a 5 star rated hotel. The rate was $97.00 per night. Upon our arrival this was lucky to be a 2 star hotel. I asked the mgr and he said no I said a 5 unit hotel. It had at least 30 rooms? The room had two sets of skimppy towels which my wife went through in the a.m. and our daughter was joining us that night. She called for extra towels and they said we had to bring the dirty ones down first. It took three phone calls to get towels for three. Upon checkout he charged us at a rate of $ 130.00 a night for two nights and I raised a stink. When my credit card bill came in, he charged us $ 111.00 for the first night and an additional $ 272.00. A huge garbage can was located outside our room and before and after the emptied it, it smelled like vomit. I stongly recommend finding any other hotel in the area to stay.

Worst Stay Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/06
DON'T STAY HERE!!! This place doesn't even deserve one star. We negotiated an 89.00 price by phone over a holiday weekend...which is a resonable price in New Braunfels. Then @ check-out they tried to increase the price to $129.00...then ran our CC for $179.00. This hotel's business should be investigated.
