Ramada Inn-Del Rio, Del Rio

We have nothing but positives about this hotel. It is more like a resort. Great facilities, very friendly staff, free arrival drink, nice rooms and the rates were very reasonable. We will stay here again if in the area

being overly critical. Had I been able to return to a clean room after driving around the desert in 100°+ degree heat in a Jeep Wrangler I really was looking forward to a shower and had to wait about 45 minutes after calling (3:30PM) before I could do that. After returning from a tiring day it was extremely frustrating to have to wait until the room was cleaned. We felt very uncomfortable and unable to wash relax for the first hour of our return. It frustrates me to think that I paid as much as I did and could have relaxed for 1/3 of the price I paid. I stayed at the Ramada at South Padre Island last month and thought that perhaps that experience was an anomaly. I doubt that I will seek out Ramada in the future. I was not aware of a continental breakfast so when I think of spending over $300 for 2 nights in Del Rio I get a bit annoyed. At the very least, it would have seemed appropriate for someone to call to make sure my needs were addressed, but that didn’t even happen.
