WORST hotel I've ever stayed in!!
I am a frequent business traveler and this is by far the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in! On this occasion my parents happened to be in town in their RV while I was travelling and wanted to park in the hotel parking lot. This happens often and there has NEVER been an issue with this. At check-in, I was told where my parents could park their RV. That night, when my dad went to park, the security guard informed him that it was against hotel policy to allow anyone to stay in their RV on the premises. When he called to speak with me, I asked to speak with the manager. This is when it went downhill….I spoke with the manager (Lamza) and she was extremely rude and condescending. As she told me that it was their corporate policy, she was talking over me and at one point in the conversation, she said “we can’t have people sleeping in their vehicles on our property” as though my parents were homeless! She informed me that “we are in the business of selling rooms” so, of course, they wouldn’t want someone sleeping in their RV. At NO time in the conversation, did she offer an alternative, option or a discounted room for my parents. She continued to be short and patronizing until I finally told her that I would be down to speak with her face-to-face. Down in the lobby, I explained that there may have been a misunderstanding when I checked in, but the way that she handled it was unacceptable. Customer Service 101: Never tell the customer what they can’t do, give them the options for what they CAN do. I work in customer loyalty and this is not the way to gain it. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton hotel again and, if it’s up to me, neither will any of my family or friends.
