Quality Inn Baytown, Baytown

We booked for a weeks stay at this hotel. We are Elite members in Choice Hotels Club. We travel on a regular basis(60+ times yearly) We arrived late at night,as our flight had been delayed.So we were both so looking forward to just getting some sleep. Upon entering our room,I turned on the light to find 2 cockroaches on the wall. As my husband,who doesn't rattle easy, went to talk to the manager, I started looking closer at the room. I pulled back the covers to find DIRTY,FILTHY sheets! A ball of hair in the bathroom floor.Which could have used a good scrub. I would have never used the shower. The rooms couch had tan paint all over it from where they painted the room,but did not remove or cover anything! That was enough,but we decided to just try another room and check out morning. We entered our 2nd room to find it was backed up with 4 inches of sewer from the toilet in the bathroom. I didn't look further than the door. . We were refunded our money. We ended up staying at Comfort Suites Baytown. THAT is a beautiful hotel. We did report our findings to Choice. I feel the Health Department should look closely into closing this so called Quality Inn. I really feel this "hotel" doesn't deserve 1 star.

The web-site boasted of amenities that the hotel DID NOT offer, and is definately in need of an update. There was NO resturant, and NO billiard room. The staff was not friendly or heplful, except for one gentleman, who finally produced some more towels for us as there was only one towel in the room. We asked for another blanket our request was rudely denied. The message light bliked and rank for almost six hours and the desk was unable to rectify this situation until someone else came on duty in the evening. Overall I would say that I will NOT stay at this hotel again!

I booked this hotel specifically because I was traveling in the winter and it advertised an indoor pool. This was not the case as I was to discover. Also, the wireless internet did not work and the place was dirty and it smelled. I would never go back.
