Not a bad place to stay, but not the best either.
I stayed here the last week in Jul 2007 for a business trip to the Naval Air Station (about a 20 minute drive from this hotel to the island).
The staff was very friendly upon registering and I found the hotel decor to be neat and acceptable.
To me, the room seemed smaller than your typical hotel room, but since I was travelling alone, it was not a big deal. I would have hated to have a family crammed in there though. Likewise the bathroom area seemed unusually cramped.
Nonetheless, the room had 2 full size beds, a tv, dresser, nightstand, and desk area.
The hotel provided free wi-hi, which I did use quite a bit.
The best part of the entire stay was the free breakfast and dinners they provided, which helped me save a lot of money.
For breakfast, they served sausage, eggs, biscuits, french toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit, and donuts and pastries. There was also a drink machine for cokes, milk, and juice. I found the breakfast to be quite acceptable and delicious.
For dinner, the food varied each night. The first night consisted of salad, pizza, baked potatos, nachos, and chips. The second night was some sort of mexican stuff which I didn't eat, along with the other stuff mentioned above, and then the final night was hot dogs, which I avoided and went to the Olive Garden instead.
The pool outside was small, and looked a little ghetto. I never got in, but it was really run down looking. A lot of families were out there though, so it must not have been too bad.
The overall location of the property seems to be in a slightly shady area of town, but there is a fence all the way around the propoerty, and there are gates with security camears at all entrances. You can't get into the parking lot without your key card. So it was pretty safe.
Overall, I would probably stay here again, as it is 10 minutes from the airport, and the city is easily accessable form this location as well.
