Absolutely HORRIBLE Experience.
By michelle, 06/18/07
I was travelling from Stephenville to Baytown when I came across the Super 8 in Navasota. It was not my intention to stay in Navasota, but the rental car that I was driving had a terrible flat. The closest hotel was the Super 8. We were pretty much forced to sleep there, or the vehicle. The rates were atrocious. $100.00 per room, for a small, one-bed room. The lady at the desk answered the phone while I was trying to check in, and helped the people on the phone make reservations, even though I was there first, and kept telling her I was in a hurry because the tired was going flat by the second. After being ignored for a while, she gave us our room keys. Our entire room, and especially the bathroom, smelled STRONGLY of old, stale urine. There was foundation problems such as cracks in the walls and ceilings, and the paint was peeling from the walls. My bath towels were filthy. It looked like someone had changed the oil in their car, wiped their hands on them, and put them back up. My Air conditioner didn't work either. It would only blow hot air, and was constantly leaking fluid. The plumbing makes aweful vibrating noises at night, that will definately keep you up. If you are forced to stay there, then try to get a room in the 2 story complexes, not the single story. It was overall a nightmare. I've been to other Super 8 motels and never had this problem.

Hooray for Super 8 in Navasota!

When I must stay at a hotel during the Texas Renaissance festival, this is my first choice! When it comes to personalized service, customer care and cleanliness this hotel can’t be beat! It’s also an economical choice with it’s participation in the Trip Rewards program, continental breakfasts and its close proximate to local restaurants. It’s a ten minute drive to TRF! This is money well spent!

Nightmare Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/05
The rooms are horrible. The tub was backed up and we didn't even use it. Came back to room and there was supposedly they said dog food in there. They dripped all over the rug and the clean bath mat and the soap and used the sink and left. Had to ask for replacement stuff and told the manager what they had done. The lady comes back and said she didn't drip - as she held her mop and no bucket wanting to come back in - told her I'd clean it myself! They wanted me to leave and not pay for that day but I had to stay another night. After writing a letter to corporate they call me back and say they were going to refund but I didn't want it! They turned their words when the man was clear you get the money back and you leave that day! I called corporate told them about this and supposedly they are refunding one nite. Believe me this hotel is not worth what they charge for their rooms. I would hope not all their motels are like this one. Could just be the people who run it. But never again. Also a friend made a reservation there and cancelled (smart lady) her husband tossed the confirmation # and they charged her even though she cancelled but without the # she's out of luck!
