The manager (Mary Ann) and other staff are FANTASTC - very friendly and hospitable. Ownership needs to put as much love into the buildings and rooms as the staff does into taking care of the guests. Overall worth the price that I paid through Priceline package deal due mostly to the staff. Come on ownership you have a good thing here step up and make upgrades and repairs.

We stayed in Lackland for my nieces graduation from Air Force BT in July and stayed at the Howard Johnson's after a few horrible nights with LARGE water bugs (Beetles) at a nearby hotel. From the minute I called Howard Johnson's and spoke to Lillian at the front desk to check on availability for my family, she was very accommodating and went out of her way the rest of our stay in San Antonio to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was fairly clean and we had a great view of the pool which was kept clean. I would definitely stay at Howard Johnson's again because of the excellent customer service from Lillian and for making sure our trip was great.

The Four Seasons it's not. But it was clean, close, and the staff was very nice. We were able to spend quality time with our airmen, actually we were within 10 miles from anything we wanted to do. Loved it

I never do this but, wanted to let people know that the hotel staff was really great. We had a problem with a mildew smell in the bathroom. The next a.m. we mentioned it to the front desk. They immediately upgraded us to another room at no addt'l charge and did not charge us for the previous nights stay. Lillian...you are wonderful!!! The housekeeping was great and very polite and friendly. The rooms were very clean. We thank you for a wonderful stay!

WE WENT TO AN AIRFORCE GRADUATION AND THIS HOTEL WE PICKED BASED UPON PICTURES.DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.THE COUCHES ARE DISGUSTING, OLD LEATHER FROM ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO, THE ROOMS STUNK SO BAD, WE LEFT AND WENT TO THE HAMPTON INN, THEY WOULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY. THE DOORS HAD A GAP @ I INCH UNDER THEM.THE STAFF WAS NICE,THE SUITE WE WERE IN WAS HARDLY A SUITE.IF YOU LIKE DIRTY FLOORS, OLD BEDDING, STAINED MATRESS'S AND BUGS AND A MOLDY SMELL THIS HOTEL WILL WORK OUT GREAT. TRAVELING IN SAN ANTONIO IS EASY SO I SUGGEST GETTING A HOTEL A FEW MILES AWAY.. YOU WILL BE HAPPIER AND FEEL CLEANER.I COULD NOT EVEN LET MY KIDS ON THE FLOOR...THIS PLACE IS NASTY!!!!!I COMPLAINES TO UNITED VACATIONS AND THEY SAID TO SEND THEM A LETTER AND THEY WOULD STOP SELLING THIS HOTEL.WE STAYED MARCH 5 CHECKED OUT AND WENT TO THE HAMPTON A FEW MILES AWAY FOR THE REST OF OUR STAY.

I WAS HERE ON JAN, 8TH -JAN 12TH 2009 FOR MY SONS GRADUATION WHICH WAS GREAT. THIS HOTEL IS VERY CLOSE TO THE BASE .5 MILES. THAT'S THE ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT IT OTHER THEN THE STAFF. OLD NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AND SMELLS BUT IT WAS CLEAN. IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD HAVE SPENT THE MONEY AND WENT TO OTHER HOTEL. THE PICTURE ON THE NET ARE FROM WHEN THE HOTEL WAS FIRST BUILT SO BE WERE. IN JOY THE GRADUATION IT GREAT. RENT A CAR!! YOU ARE GOING TO NEED IT TO GET YOUR AIRMEN BACK TO THE BASE ON TIME. DON'T TAKE A CHANCE

I have stayed here for a graduation and hurricane evacuation. It is not by any means a luxury hotel, however, it is decent for the amount charged. The staff is very helpful and friendly and corrected any concerns I had right away. For inexpensive lodging I will stay here again. Full kitchen in the rooms is very convenient.

We stayed at the hotle for 3 hours and had to leave. Out room had mold in the oven, there were bugs in the shower area. We were staying there for our Son's graduation from basic training. The room was dirty, we left after three hours and was changed for a full day. We went to the Holiday Inn which was wonderful.. I would not recommend anyone staying there.

Great location for going to Lackland AFB for basic training graduation. Just go though the stop light on the way back from the base and turn right behind Dennys Restaurant due to the road in front is one way. This will save you some from extra driving time getting back to the hotel.The room we had was clean and we had no problems.

Bldg exterior appears updated but is deceptive. Interior rooms are dirty. Carpeting is dirty. Bathrooms are deplorable. Hair dryer did not work. Surrounding neighborhood is not desirable. Bedding and pillows are old. Please avoid this place.
