Not pet friendly and rude!!
By ,
We did not stay here because of the rude woman who answered the phone when I called to make a reservation. The place advertises 'pets allowed' but the woman laughed and said....."Not in our nice rooms, no....but you can have one of the old rooms" She then went off on a list of restrictions, limitations and finished up with saying there would be a $10 per pet NON-refundable deposit. I will only stay at pet friendly places and am not interested in a place who treats me like I'm bringing some kind of wild animal to their establishment. My dogs are cleaner and better groomed than most people!! For a truly pet friendly place, drive a few extra miles to Nacodoches and stay at the La Quinta. They are super friendly, coffee is free in the room and they are extremely welcoming with the pets. I only have two small dogs, but my father moved there with three large dogs and needed a hotel the first night and La Quinta welcomed them in as well.

Can't wait for October
By ,
I booked a room at the Crockett Inn around last near in october of 2010 for the Peanut Festival. When I entered the room I could tell that I was in for a treat. The brand new wood floors just lit up the room and the furniture and decor complimented nicely with each other. However, a few things were on the down side. You have to rent a coffee pot, an iron if you'd like to use one. Free coffee is made in the morning at the front desk. I'm sad to say that the restaurant that was once in business is no more. That restaurant sure did have some wonderful Sunday buffet offerings. I will never forget it! If your ever in Crockett, TX i'd stop by the Crockett Inn and ask for the new VIP room.

Will DEFINITELY be staying AGAIN
By ,
Their new VIP Rooms are splendid. They have remodeled an entire section of the motel, inside these new rooms are wood floors, all brand new furniture, a large TV, a mini fridge and a microwave. My family and i stayed in the VIP room which $68, a steal from the Holiday Inn's $120+ a night. I'm glad that the front desk suggested that I take the VIP room. During our stay which was the Memorial Weekend, the entire place was booked up. But we did make reservations three months in advance and I'm glad that we did. The one thing that I didn't like was that they didn't offer breakfast. Otherwise I would've given this place 5 out of 5 stars. Apparently their restaurant has shut down and doesn't offer breakfast and lunch anymore. Other than that, the stay was refreshing. Would recommend it to my friends.

You get what you pay for.
By ,
If you are looking for a shower and a bed at a reasonable price this the place for you. I stay here every year and it is still the same. Some employees are rude and some are very nice. Remember, You pay for what you get. Next time try the Holiday Inn Express for $100 bucks or more per night.

Stay away for that place!
By ,
I was in Crocket this past weekend on business, I stop around 11 am to inquire about a room. The staff at the desk were very rude and did not offer any assistance. The manager came out of his office to tell us that all the room were filled and we should travel 34 miles to Huntsville to get a room. I went across the street to the Holiday Inn express and got a great room. I check with the Embers and they also had several rooms. I will be returning the area in a month, I will stay clear of the Crocket Inn.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
By ,
this place is terrible, myself and some co-workers made reservations for a week the week before, when we arrived we were told that our rooms were not available because they had been given away to other people. the rooms are far from decent, most of the things that you find at a so called 3 star hotel are non-existant, no alarm clocks, no mini fridge or microwave. since you dont have an alarm clock you would think to ask for a wake up call, well they cant even seem to get that right. during my stay at this "flophouse" i have had 3 women come to my door and ask me if i have a date for the night. not exactly the kinda place i will ever stay again.

ANYONE WHO GIVES THIS PLACE A HIGH MARK HAS TO BE AN EMPLOYEE THERE AND GIVING FASLE REPORTS. A/C WOULD NOT WORK WELL, WOULD NOT GIVE US ANOTHER ROOM, FILTHY ALL AROUND. BEDS ARE SHOT AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED IN DECADES. I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG STAY THERE. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CONDEMENED

HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO GO BACK
By ,
Filthy rooms. 3 visits in last 2 months. Ceilings tiles stained, furniture is rickety, room lighting is poor and too dim, carpets stained and dirty. Peeling paint especially on bathroom and dressing room walls. Sink fixtures had encrusted black gunk around them, grooves around the tub dirty. Towels thin, old and skimpy. Beds are old and too soft. Big open wooden bins of garbage and trash from the rooms and restaurant and old discarded furniture in piles in the parking area located on the restaurant side of the property. Owner and desk clerks are rude and will do nothing to improve your stay. Any complaint you make is not addressed by any one there.
