Zoder's Inn and Suites, Gatlinburg

My son and his wife spent six days at Zoders inn and my oh my what a wounderful experience. We where treated like family, the rooms where soo clean and everyone there was eager to make our stay nice. The breakfast area was nice and the service was excellent loved the biscuts and gravy. Oh my the pool was awsome and the peaceful area on the balcony out out back area over the brook HOW PEACEFUL. Thank you Zoder inn and I recommend you to all our friends that are going that way now or in the future. This was my second visit and I hope to get another one in in the future.

The staff is rude, the rooms are not ready during check-in. We had to drive a couple streets over to find our room when we got there there was not toiletries. The next day we called the front desk & requested housekeeping they never showed we had no clean towels, wash cloths or toilet paper! We watched ducks do their "busniess" in the outdoor pool, nasty!!! The complimentary wine and cheese is a joke it's chex mix with cheap wine that doesn't taste good at all and to get it you pretty much have to beg. They act like it tears them to peices to serve you. As for the breakfast it was a cold buscuit with a bowl of gravy, you can get toast if you want but be careful when asking they dont like to give it to you. You can get a much better hotel for the expenisve price of this one. It is not worth the money. Also, the hotel is on a dangerous part of the street not safe to walk with your children. If you want friendly staff, a clean room and a good breakfast DONT GO HERE!

I can't believe anyone can find anything BAD to say about Zoder's. We have stayed there annually for at least 15 years with a group of 20-30 people. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and the staff is top notch. The same ladies have been fixing our 'continental' breakfast for years. We loved the addition of the biscuits and gravy this past visit!! We are now bringing our grandchildren so this is the third generation of our family to stay at Zoder's and we are anxiously awaiting our visit in a month. We just hope our grandchildren get to make memories at Zoder's with their children in years to come.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The balcony overlooking the brook was great and the hottub was a major plus. The bathroom is very small, but for only showering and the toliet it was not a dealbreaker for us. The cabin was a little outdated, but comfortable and peaceful I can't wait to book our next stay

We stayed in cabin 179. Liked the hot tub in the room, and the porch by the stream but thats about it. The cabin is very outdated. It has probably a 1985 TV with very poor reception. The sheetrock cieling is cracked. Has a sitting room but can't see TV from there. For what you pay for the cabin you would think it would be much more modern.

Love to come to Gatlingurg & would not stay anywhere else. We've had the single rooms & also double. Always clean & all the staff have been great. Hope to come back this fall. Just an overall great place!!

Room very clean; wanted to take bed home with us / AM coffee on balcony overlooking rushing brook was so peaceful. We will be staying there everytime we go back.

I have stayed there 3 time and have had good stays all 3 times. The rooms are good and the staff is great and you cant beat how quite the hotel grounds are because it is built back in a hollow. the 2 pools are great (one indoor & one Outdoor) and they are well maintained.

Zoder's Best Western is our choice for vacationing in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge; this was our seventh visit which included 5 nights this trip. Our first trip was 22 years ago with our 7 year old son. We had a double queen room overlooking the stream; and had our breakfasts from the breakfast bar each morning; our son is now a Policeman, and is a member of his Department's S.W.A.T. team. Each of our visits since then have been exceptional in the Zoder's Staff, attitudes, and facilities. Zoder's/ Gatlinburg is the only destination my wife and I, in our 39-year marriage, don't want to leave when our time is up. We thoroughly enjoy the location, facility, the Staff from the main office to the attendants, to the Staff in the breakfast/wine and cheese bar. Zoder's Best Western/Gatlinburg is a complete program of deluxe accomodations and wonderful People who are dedicated to their careers, and to providing us with a no-stress respite from our stressful work schedules. My wife and I drive 9 hours to get here; and we plan on many more stays at Zoder's. "Thank you" to all of the Zoder's Staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We always stay here because there is an Applebee's almost across the street so if we want a drink, we can walk, there is a heated indoor pool, free breakfast ( with tickets given at check-in), small gym, and the brook sounds at night. Also, it's at the end of the strip, so the noise is minimal. The king rooms are always nice, clean, and no issues. After all of the times we've stayed there, this last time may be the last. I made the reservation via phone with Mike. He was so nice and when I told him we wanted a king bed overlooking the brook and either a sleeper sofa or roll away bed for our 3yr old son, he told me they could set up a crib in the room for him. I again told him our son was 3 and a crib would be too small for a toddler. He then told me that their cribs were so big they were more like toddler beds. Luckliy I brought along his portable bed just in case. When we got there the manager told my husband that by TN state law we had to have another bed for our son and downgraded us to a room with 2 queen beds instead. we go to the room, which was so crappy: smelly, dirty walls, beds sagging in the middle, and the beds looked more like fulls instead of queens. It was nothing like the nice king rooms. I was livid! I walked back to checkin and requested the manager. When she appeared, I told her this was unacceptable. I booked a king bed over the stream and would accept nothing less. She said the only king room with a bed for our son also would be a suite across from checkin, no brook, and we would have to upgrade. I said ok fine, but then she preceeded to tell me we would have to pay the extra amount of $ for a suite. I couldn't believe it. Again I was livid. I told her it was their problem and they would have to fix it without getting any extra money. She gave us the key to the origional room with 1 kng bed, and said my son could sleep on the floor! She wouldn't even give us his meal tickets, so we had to share our food ( the free breakfast is very small) with him so he could eat. Later that day, I apologised to her for being rude and instead of apologising back to me for HER rudeness, she told me to make sure I ROLLED UP my sons bed from the floor, and put it in the cabinet so housekeeping wouldn't report it and she wouldn't get in trouble! I don't know if they'll get our business again. Was this a one time inncident or will it happen again?
