We went three years in a row, and loved it. It was considered off season there the 2nd week of September, and it was still hot, but not crowded, and the room was cheap. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a high end experience, look somewhere else, but if you want a place to sleep, while you are visiting the beack, this is a great place to stay.

Surf & Dunes

I am disappointed that they decided to sell Surf & Dunes. I had gone there for twenty years in a row. They were very helpful when we called for reservations. They recommended Holiday Sands South. I stayed there just last year. Good value, two pools, two Jacuzzi, sun deck, and not too close to downtown. If you liked Surf & Dunes you will like Holiday Sands South.

Don't even thunk about it!

Our whole trip was awful just because of th motel. The kids got gauded from the pools and the rooms were very nasty and the service was awful. We switched rooms 5 times before we got a semi clean room that we could settle with. I would never go back there.

This Surf & Dunes was by far the most beautifully designed motel in all of Myrtle Beach!!! I went there just this week to vacation for a few days & it was gone. What the hell is going on? Please don't tell me it has been torn down, something that beautiful? Please reply. I am so disappointed.

I've gone to Myrtle Beach 10 times and ever time I've stay at Surf&Dunes. I love it! It's in the perfect place. I will always want to go back.

People are so picky.When you want to pay lower rates ,things are not going to be five star.This is a basic hotel with all the ammenities a family would need.Personally,I go to myrtle beach for the beach,not the room.Things are clean enough,staff is accomodating and the pools are fabulous.All my family wants and needs.

MY FAMILY AND I STAYED AT THE SURF AND DUNES FROM JULY 29 -JULY 31,2004 WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THE ROOM WE GOT. THE CARPET WAS SO DIRTY,WIRES HANGING FROM THE OVEN,THE BATHROOM PLUG IN CAME OUT OF THE WALL WHEN I UNPLUGED MY CURLING IRON AND THE PLUG IN IN THE BEDROOM STARTED SMOKING WHEN I PLUGED IT UP IN THERE. THERE WAS TRASH UNDER THE SOFA BED.AND WE HAD TO ASK FOR TOWELS. WE PAID 240.00 FOR TWO NIGHTS AND I FEEL WE GOT RIPPED OFF.THE CURTAINS AND BEDSPREADS IN THAT ROOM LOOKED LIKED THEY WHERE MADE IN THE 60'S WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE ANYMORE.
