liked it very much but needs TLC
By DONALDM, 9/4/09
We checked in for a golf tournament and was a little disappointed at first but was very happy after our four day stay there. The front desk staff were wonderful and helped assist us in every way possible. The breakfast was great and the waffles were outstanding along with the cereal and danish and coffee. The only problem is the maintenance man needs to do some work instead of excuses. The toilet took forever to fill up and the problem was there is dirt in the supply line to the fill valve, there is a smell in the hallway when you get off the elevator but believe if the AC unit was cleaned the smell would leave, also the pool is great but needs to be vacuumed and the jets on the hot tub need turned on and adjusted. The hotel is being painted and looks great but needs the inside hallways painted a cheerful color instead of the tan look. All in all I would recommend it because I was talking to some others and they had some of there things come up missing and was broke into at the higher class hotels but no problem with Days Inn at all.Would stay there again and enjoy ourselves........

HAS MOLD WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN
By Lisa, 8/24/09
We get here and first off no one was at the front desk to check us in, ring a bell and no one still came for a little after... We get into a room and has the WORST mold smell I have ever smelled in my life.. My husband goes back down and ask for a different room and we got a different room on the same floor and again, it is worst than the first room. My husband goes another time to get a different room on a different floor and again MOLD. We stuck it out since we checked in later in the evening. We could not even enjoy ourselves. I went straight to bed. The A/C in all rooms were leaking and causing the mold. So we payed for this room and had to waist a bottle of fabreeze for nothing (didnt work of course). We get us at 8am go downstairs to eat and go back up to get our things and we go to check out and get our money back. This was the worst place I could have ever been to. I had the worst headache that whole night till the morning and my husband had the sore throat and stuffed nose from this smell. We go to check out and the front desk manager was the most non helpful person I have ever met. She is suppose to make ALL CUSTOMERS HAPPY AND SATISFIED. Well this was not the case, we told her about our night and the issue and comlaints we had and she would not appologize not one time all she said was 'what would you like for me to do' of course we say our money back and she said all I could do is 15% off the bill. Now 15% off a bill isnt anything compared to what you have to deal with. She wouldnt even go up to the room with us to check it out. While My husband was checking out and getting a paper stating that we complained about this and we were getting our money back and ect. This other customer comes down hears the word smell from my husband she her exact words were 'yes the mold' . Now this lady had no clue what we were talking about until that one word...smell. The MOD didnt even want to check out the situation. Not helpful, not nice. They have a horrilbe mold issues that I am sure makes a lot of people sick. I cannot emagine bringing a child there. DO NOT GO HERE. We will be calling the health department on this hotel. We are so upset and unhappy about this that we will get the situation fixed. Our money back, hotel closed down to get fixed or something will come out of this.

NEVER STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/09
First of all...,my husband and I only booked this hotel because none closer to the beach were available or as inexpensive as this one. That is where the problem lies. This hotel was cheap from the get go. I am not from around Myrtle Beach, so I called for directions to the hotel while on the road. The front desk person had no clue where the hotel was, or how to adequately give directions to the hotel. When I asked if anyone could help me, she said she was the only one there and "good luck". Thankfully, after reviewing our road atlas and navigating in the pouring rain, we finally made it there. Upon arrival, the front desk attendants didnt say hi, have words of welcome or smile. They definitly are not customer service based people. The room was okay, good enough just for sleeping. After I noticed the room wasnt furnished with a microwave and refrigerator, as it said on the website, I called to the front desk to inquire about it. They said that I could rent the items for $15 each. WHAT? Ive never heard of this before! The shower was good, thankfully...but the toilet stopped flushing on the second day. Needless to say, we are NOT coming to this hotel ever again and urge you to think twice before booking here. This is just an honest review and I sincerely hope it helps you in your travels.

Excellent stay!!! Had a wonderful time!!!
By West, 3/5/09
My wife and I (and our dog) stayed for two days (on business) and had a wonderful time!... The staff was extremely friendly and helpful... Our room was VERY spacious and VERY clean! In fact we were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and well maintained condition of the hotel!... And the complimentary breakfast was top notch (including handmade waffles)!!! Close to Myrtle Beach and all its attractions...We liked it so much we're going back this weekend! Highly Recommended!!!

Will never stay ther again
By WANDA CANNON, 7/13/07
I did not like my stay at this hotel and I don't reccomend anyone who reads this to stay there either. The only thing nice about it was when you check in, after that all down hill. When I walked in the room, it had a awful smell, the carpet look dirty and to top it off, the lights went out and in the hallway, the emergency lights did not work so you couldn't see down the hall. I had to use my flashlight. I had to use the stairs and that was a mess. Take it from me, do not check in.
