awful would not recomend to anyone
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/09
we spent 5 days here it was close to the base we had 9 members going down for our sons gradution from the marine corps . we made reservations 3 months early. we had asked for a block of rooms so we all could be together.they said ok it's done no problem. we get there and find out we are all on differnt floors and they said there was nothing they could do for us. the desk staff was not freindly and not helpful. the one desk clerk did not know how to run a credit card. we had no bath towels in one room. trash left in the fridge and in the night stand drawer in another room. we had needed one pet room which we had to argue for to get on the first floor for a handicap person. they tried to double charge us for one room at check out. the only we did have one good person who tried to help us out his name was mitch but his hands were tied. but our maid sharon was fantistic. she did take care of us while we were there.

This hotel has been recently renovated. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is great for all activities in and around Beaufort. I will definitely stay here again.

Exciting new renovation almost completed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/08
This hotel is undergoing an exciting multi-million dollar renovation and will reopen soon as the Inn at Town Center. It will be home to the Beaufort Area Visitors Center and convenient to all the reasons we visit Beaufort...great restaurants, historic attractions, and shopping.

If your choosing an hotel in the area consider looking for another one. Customer service was adequate. Continential breakfast was great. The Exercise Room equipment was broken. Too high priced for what little you recieve. The room was ok.

acceptable place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/07
Like: rate was reasonable, service was fine, breakfast was more than I expected, location was great for our needs, hotel positioned so there was very limited street noise and lights Dislikes: room had "old" smell from high humidity in the room with no AC running when not being used; inside was not quality I expected from Ramada name, but it was just old looking Unknowns: did not use pool or other items at the hotel so don't know how those were

Won't return to this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/06
From the torn American Flag, to the seedy grounds, to the filthy room(the sheets had been turned over to save laundry, the toilet and tub had stains, the bathroom floor grout was filthy, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, the pillows were flat and needed replacing, the bed was torn, the blanket had a big hole in the middle, and there was no phone)and lastly, the breakfast items were presented in filthy containers. A wholly unpleasant experience.

great in a pinch
By darryl, 10/31/06
we stayed here for our sons graduation weekend at PI. The room was nice and they cleaned it everyday, and that was great. My daughter got sick and had an accident there and when the cleaning person was told... I was amazed at his statement. " That is what I am here for". That floored me. The staff over all was great. The only thing I would change is the reservations system. I reserved over the phone and when I got there the reservation was all wrong. The days were wrong the beds were wrong. The desk did a fantastic job of fixing the problem. Just had to stay in a smoking room instead of non. Thank you for an enjoyable experience. Dont know why others say it is a bad place?

Consider Somewhere Else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/06
Although beautiful on the outside, the hotel is very run down. One wall socket in our room came right out when we unplugged something. The staff were friendly & helpful and the rooms were pretty clean. The great American breakfast was little more than a continental breakfast. There was only one old toaster which took forever to heat up a waffel or bagel, making for long lines. And the times breakfast was served was not really conducive for family members of graduating Marines to get to Parris Island for ceremonies. A couple good things were the Marine Corp Store located inside and the swimming pool open until 9:30 p.m. And the location is very convenient for getting to Parris Island.
