Pocmont Resort and Conference Center, Bushkill

We spent Christmas with our family and our extended family at Pocmont.. I have to say the Resort was really quite special for us. We had nice clean rooms some of which appeared to be almost new in appearance. The food was good to excellent throughout our stay. We found that many of the staff have been there for a very long time and that the owner is third generation. It shows. There is a great family feel to the place. We went to the Crossings, Skied at Shawnee and Camelback and the kids had a ball with the activities that were run. If all goes well we will be back the fourth of July holiday. Oh yeh I want to thank them for finding my cell phone charger that they quickly mailed back to me. I'm lost with out my cell! Yeah Pocmont!!

I have never been so disappointed in a vacation. Our 4 day vacation turned into a disaster and we left the resort after 3 hours of check-in. The rooms are dirty and have a bad smell. The service in the cafe was horrible. The activities leave alot to be desired. Miniature golf, softball and other outdoor activities are located across the road in an overgrown field. Boating is in a lake the size of a pool and they only have 3 paddle boats! The indoor pool was BLACK and the outdoor pool was falling apart as we were swimming. The tiles started peeling off the walls.

We have been visiting the Pocmont Resort in Bushkill, Pa., since 2000. My husband and I went for our simply week-end getaway. We now travel with our older daughter and her family, including a teen and an eight year old. This family resort is the best. Entertainment every night, all you can eat buffet. They are all like family. Believe me with the gas prices today, you will love the value your family will get. Drive over, park the car and have a ball. We can't wait for Fourth of July, 2008. I recently stayed at the Pocmont Resort in Bushkill, PA for a weekend ski trip. This was not the hotel that was orignally the place for lodging. After ironing out a few bumps, it turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. I would reccommend this resort to all and especially families with small children. Two thumbs up...enjoy your stay.

We recently returned from the Pocmont Resort. We will never go back. To start with our room had a fireplace and no one in the resort had matches, no coffee machine in the room, no iron or ironing board. When I requested one they told me I could come and carry one up the hill to our room. The place listed three restaurants one being a pizza place on site and we were given an itinerary when we arrived that listed the pizza place as being open from 6pm until closing. It was never opened. So you were required to eat in the only restuarant that was open. The room was very dirty, and so was the dining area. You needed to look for a seat that was not soiled. It seemed almost all the cloth seats were severly soiled and were never cleaned. As far as security, some of the doors were unable to lock allowing easy access to anyone who wanted from the outside. And for the price we paid, $800 for two days this place was a terrible. There were cob webs and just plain stuff that should not have been in the room. This place should be avoided. When you pay $800. for a two night stay you do not expect to have to carry an iron and ironing board up the hill to your room. If it is advertized that there will be certain eating establishments then you expect them to be there and open. Even after receiving an itinerary that covered the two days we were there.
