Exceptional Employee
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/11
My husband and I stayed at Ramada Harrisburg Hershey Area Hotel and were very pleased with our room (King Suite). It was very clean, which, for me, is the most important quality of any hotel room and the rate was more than reasonable. We were near the indoor pool and did notice a slight chlorine smell in the hall, but not at all once inside the room. The breakfast was just OK, but did serve the purpose of getting something to eat before leaving for the day. The most impressive thing about this hotel is one of the employees - Morgan. This young lady was very helpful to me on the phone when making my reservations, she addressed our concerns (things we had read about in other reviews) at check-in, and in the morning she did an excellent job of taking care of the breakfast area - she did it all. Thanks for everything Morgan - I hope Ramada knows how fortunate they are to have you as an employee.

Wonderful and CLEAN

I totally enjoyed my stay. We had a room with a jacuzzi/fireplace. It was very clean, and comfortable. I will recommend this motel to all my friends!

AWFUL
By Rachel, 7/26/10
First room smelled like urine. We were moved to a new room. Second room was dirty, left over half eaten pizza in box on the floor, hair on the bed sheets and in the tub. I wouldn’t feed my dog the food they had out for breakfast. I will never stay at another Best Western again. Not worth the price break.

Management Sucks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/08
I was appauled how rude management was. My family & I are from the west coast & decided to take a vacation on the east coast, little did we know that our whole vacation would be upsetting due to Best Western of Hershey, PA -BOO! Phanessa your not anything near a front desk Manager.

Great place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/08
Very helpful staff. Room was nice. Clean. Just stopped while driving. No reservations but had no problem getting a room. Contenental Breakfast was a supprise. Had cooked waffles and a hot egg product. Very clean. Lobby had a computer for guests which we used. Takes all discounts. Nearby restaurant is NOT part of the hotel. A little pricy but good food.

Wonderful
By luckystar_152, 2/24/08
This hotel was at a prime spot right off the interstate, a little hard to find, but if you follow the signs no trouble at all. The restaurant had some bad reviews from others but they are under new management. I also learned that the restaurant was not even part of the hotel. Hotel offers own continental breakfast now. Clerk Erica was very nice and one of the best looking front desk clerks I've ever seen ;) I'll be going back the next time I'm in the Harrisburg or Hershey area.

we've already made reservations to stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/07
Our family attends functions at the Farm Show complex twice a year. We have stayed here for three years running. We were disappointed to lose the Country Oven breakfast coupons but were greatly impressed by the breakfast buffet they now offer. We have noticed a great decline in the service, pricing and overall satisfaction with the Country Oven. Let's hope they read some of these reviews!!! The hotel overall is fantastic. We have stayed in several different areas of the hotel and have been satisfied every time. The pool area is very nice. The only thing we would have liked to see was expanded early morning hours. The staff is one of the best we have ever encountered. They are more than willing to serve their customers. We don't think that the pricing is too out of line and we feel that we have got what we paid for. We highly recommend this hotel to our friends and hope that more people who have positive experiences write reviews.

Comfortable Best Western !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/07
This Hotel was pretty nice. The room was big and pretty comfortable beds and also a clean room!! The bathroom was huge !!! The pool was an okay sized and so was the hottub!! The pool was heated which was great and the hottub was'nt burning which was awesome!!! Very big and nice workout room!!! It had everything.. The hotel size was big!! They had a very nice staff there too!!! The only bad thing was is that you had to buy your own breakfast because they did not have free breakfasts. But you still got a coupon off of the hotels restraunt.Ok location and you're set and so I would reccomend this hotel!!

We can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/6/07
I loved everything about this place from breakfast to dessert. The country oven caught my eye at first when I came: elegant place to eat with a good feeling. When I walked through the double doors, I could smell that good food. Anyway, I had prime rib and crabcake beyond my expectations!!!! By the way, this place has won many awards like "Best crab cakes". I cannot wait to go back!!!

Dirty room, torn and stained bedding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/13/06
I used to like this hotel since the location was very convenient for work. The floor between the beside table and the bed was dirty (large chunks of debris and an orange pit). The bedding was old - the two blankets I used had holes in them and the bedspread had an old but very visible bloodstain. When I turned on the heat, a burning, unpleasant smell came out of the heating vent. The front desk clerk was not helpful, and rather than taking note of the problems, stated that I was at fault for not requesting another room, although I didn't notice dirt and torn bedding until I went to bed - no offer of any kind of compensation. While I was checking out, another customer also checking out complained that his door wouldn't shut and got no response and no indication that this would be remedied. The check out experience overall was also poor - the computer was down and the front desk clerk promised to fax the bill that day. I received nothing by noon the next day and had to phone twice to request the bill - the first person hung up before I could relay my fax number. Not staying again.
