Britannia Country Inn, Swiftwater

Our family was treated like royalty! The food was scrumptous and the atmosphere relaxing, but the friendships we made have lasted to this day. I know the Inn as changed hands since our stay there 10 years ago, so I am relating our experience based on the genuine British couple who owned it back then. I hope the level of hospitality shown by the Matthews family has been passed down to the present owners. We came back every year two or three times and stayed for free because they found out I was an entertainer. All I had to do was sing for my supper and our family was put up for the weekend. We loved the arrangement, of course, and miss it. It's a lovely place to get away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.
