Don't waste your money!

The Good: We had easy access to the walking path along the Willamette River and across the parking lot from the Valley River Center. The employees were relatively responsive to any requests we made.
THE BAD: Almost everything else. The hotel is horribly dated (sixties/seventies); it doesn't appear to have been updated in any way since then except (obviously) the addition of Internet connections in the rooms. The room was dumpy, crowded and small. We tried not to spend much time in it. The daily rate of $135 was MUCH TOO HIGH for what we got. Water bottles were on our nightstand, but included a $4.00 price tag. No refrigerator or microwave. This hotel should be torn down immediately and replaced. Storage for our clothes was limited (a small dresser). A sink area was backed up to an area with a closet bar (the "closet") that had extremely limited space for hanging longer items (dresses or pants that aren't folded). Coffee maker is a little one-cup job. The exercise room is long and narrow, so the six pieces of equipment is arranged in three rows of two.
The only vending machines we saw had soda. If you wanted anything else, you had to go to the lobby store, which was expensive.
We will definitely not go back. We have stayed in much nicer hotels for half the price. The Residence Inn down the street a little bit, though $30 more, is far nicer and also has access to the bike path along the river, just isn't right beside it.
