Jots Resort, Gold Beach

The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. When we walked in to the room they gave us it was like walking into a sauna.. No air-conditioning or windows. We had a sliding door but no screen on it so we could even leave the sliding door open to get some air. Went down and requested another room that room was the same no screen. Finally after a 3rd try they found a room for us that had a screen. However, the day we went to ride the jet boats we came home to a room with a screen missing again. Not even the staff knew what had happened to it but they found one to put up for us. The balcony is shared by everyone. People walk back and forth and look in your rooms. Chairs that we had somebody came and took them. Room walls were very thin and you could hear people in the next room. The carpet was faded, no continental breakfast. Was not worth the money we had to pay a night. Housekeeping came in and took /replaced the towels but did not empty the trash cans.The morning we left our granddaughter found a huge spider in the corner. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What used to be a great place to stay (our family stayed there several times over the last 12 years or so) has been going steadily downhill over the last few years. For what they charge they need to provide better service, cleaner rooms and amenities that reflect the price they charge. I guess "what a dump" is a little too strong but, oh well.

Was surprised and pleased to get a room (212) that had been redecorated and bathroom remodeled to accommodate handicapped patrons. It was LARGE with tub and shower. I was pleased to find a HAND SHOWER which has never been available in any hotel. Last time I had one was on the Crystal Harmony on a Panama Canal cruise. Sliding glass doors with a view of the river added to the charm.

This place was a great disappointment. We were greeted by a rude person at registration. Our room was dumpy!! They advertised Wifi, but it was only in the office.

Location and tranquility, enjoyed the view and watching the people fishing and trying the get the catch in before the sea lions take it for themselves.

Everyone was very helpful from reservations to checkout. Went for a close friends birthday party and the entire team worked together to ensure everthing went off very well. Great value for the view, and the personal service!

NEVER go to this hotel.. My girlfriend and I were forced to stay at this motel due to no camping spots along the oregon coast. I have never stayed at a more rip-off, dirty, un-friendly, un-professional place in my life. Unfortunately there were no other rooms in town so we were stuck. Spider infestation problem, had them in our shower, in my hair as i walked to the dirty pool/ luke-warm hot- tub... At 1 am, we were rudely awoken by the bar across the street, and the people yelling and driving off at mach- 10 speeds. The only good part about it, was the fact that we could atleast watch tv. However, the tv was 15 inches, and about 20 years old. (very bad picture, hard to see). At check-out i noted to the front desk woman about our experience, and she showed no sympathy, and said that the spiders are due to being on the river.. Overall Very bad experience, next time will never stay here again. (cost 120.00 for a very poor low budget room)

Perfect location. Went there for my husband's birthday to ride Jerry's Jet Boats. So disappointed in the room. Very dirty carpet, screen on door broken. NO windows in the room, only the back sliding door which could only be left open a few inches with the pin lock. NO ventilation at all at night. No air conditioning.No privicy on deck, people walked onto it all the time and looked into our room. Checked into the room saw how dirty it was, Maid "forgot" to leave towels, so I had to go to the office for towels, soap etc. I told them the room was unsatisfactory, but they told me they had no other rooms available.(It was Labor Day weekend) I had made my reservation 4 weeks before.Nice warm heated indoor pool! Stairs were so dirty with trash on the stairs etc. Jerry's Jet Boats were wonderful and they picked us up right on the dock of Jot's. I saw some wonderful lodges on the Rogue River that I would stay at another time.

Plenty of room & perfect location, the rest was unacceptable. Stereo in living rm./radio & cd player would not work, when asked for help from management, we were very put off by the personel. Screens missing or not working (patio slider)closet & shower doors were not on track, lg. burner on stove not working, dining chairs filthy,all windows dirty W/cobbwebs, carpet in dining rm. filthy. Television in Queen rm. not working. We also found we didn't have privacy on beachside patio. There were other items I could have listed, some of this might sound "Petty" however we went there with Ideas of a "Great" vacation spot, We will be looking into other resorts in the future.
