Holiday Inn Dayton, Dayton

I was here for a full month for company provided training. The company has a contract with the Hotel and consistently books 50 rooms exclusively for its training. Meal vouchers were given to us to use exclusively in the hotel restaurant, and after the first week, many of us decided the hotel's food wasn't worth the associated illnesses. I cannot verbalize how horrible the food was. The service staff is overworked and underpaid, and as a result was unable to take care of their guests' needs. They were not, for the most part, unfriendly, but were simply spread too thin to accomodate their guests. The internet service was unreliable, and I was unable to conduct business for an entire weekend. The nearby sewage plant leaves the hotel smelling like sewage any time it rains or blows, and there is nothing they can do about it. I was told a lawsuit is pending. If you have any choice in the matter (I didn't) please do not stay here.

Recently renovated, the hotel is nothing like the reviews, lobby is very clean and welcoming, all public areas are non smoking, fresh smell. We stayed in a suite, with Microwave and fridge in kitchen area, seperate living room and doors that close to the bedroom for privacy from the kids. It was great, kids enjoyed the holidome and we had the time to relax in the whirlpool.

If I could rate this hotel with a negative number I would. The whole place smells unbearably of smoke and alcohol. Bed is so uncomfortable and woke wil back pain every morning. Tons of hair in the pool and totally filthy. Food, well if you wanna call it that, is not fit for my dog. Extremly disgusting and dirty everywhere through out the building. Wireless network constantly failing and undependable. Scared to go outside. 3 car break ins in parking lot in 1 week! Nothing in the area. Will never return..ever!

Poor management - customer service that slaps you in the face - smoke, filth and vomit smelling. Management did not care that their internet service does not work. What a waste of my money! Worse, I cannot get the time back in my life that I spent here.

This was the most wretched experience of my life. Service was terrible. The place stank like smoke and booze. The rooms are tiny, tired and OLD. Non-smoking rooms need chemical purification to try to not smell like smoke. My asthma was triggered immediately. Internet service does NOT work. The management does not care that the staff is too overworked to provide any level of customer service. Everything about this place is wretched.

Disgusting! Horrific! Smokey! Sewage! This place stinks, has horrible service, nothing close by, internet service that does not work, employees who are incompetent in helping you and who cater to scummy locals - that take over the place. Never ever NEVER consider staying here. I know I won't ever again.

GROSS ME OUT! I really wish I had read the other reviews. I will never stay here again. Stinks like smoke inside, like sewage outside. Food in restaurant tasted worse than sewage. Staff can't make decisions, aren't helpful and are extremely slow. Internet does not work - I had two computers with me, and neither could access the network but did just fine when I checked out and went elsewhere.

This place stinks like smoke and liquor. The locals seem to take over the bar - and they bring their kids to take over the pool. Front desk was never very helpful. Not very clean - YUCK!

This place is worse than the awful rating I could provide here. Desk clerks have no time to help the person in front of them they are so busy taking phone calls. The place reeks of smoke and booze. Management can't make a decision and there is absolutely no reliability to their wireless internet. I could not work during my entire business trip. Between that - and the restaurant serves cold food that takes like sawdust - but you have to drive at least 10 miles to find another restaurant. I will never go back.

This "hotel" is like a local hangout for freeloaders and filth. I have never been so unhappy with hotel staff - the restaurant closes whenever it chooses to, the front desk people can't make a decision, the housekeeping staff does not know how to clean a room...hair, someone else's, everywhere.....I do not know where to begin, my stay was so bad. The whole place reeks of smoke. There is no way they should even say they can offer a nonsmoking room. They did offer to send up a chemical substiture for clean air. Not sure that anyone with asthma would survive the night here. I will never return and only hope I can spare a few souls the gross out experience of this holiday inn. Even if they offered me a free room, I'd rather pay to go elsewhere. And I did!
