GO TO THE HAMPTON INN 1 MILE DOWN THE ROAD!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/09
We made reservations at the Holiday Inn Gallipolis Ohio based on the high standard and quality the "HOLIDAY INN" name. Big mistake..this was the most disappointing event of our trip. The hotel had a musty odor in the lobby. There are no elevators to the higher level floors..When viewing a double on the first floor the smell of smoke filled the hallways and room. The room was run down out dated and small...not worth the price they wanted us to pay. We canceled our reservation and headed towards down town Gallipolis..To our surprise..A BRAND NEW HAMPTON INN! With an indoor pool and hot tub...beautiful rooms, yummy breakfast and top of the line customer service. THANK YOU HAMPTON INN!

I stay quite regularly and find it comfortable and quiet. Rooms are clean and the staff are helpful.

TURNED AWAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/08
I ALWAYS USED TO STAY AT HOLIDAY INN ON BUSINESS TRIPS FOR MY EMPLOYMENT. GUESS WHAT I CAN'T STAY THE NIGHT AT THE ONE IN MY OWN HOME TOWN. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW I WORK FOR A LARGE CORPORATION AND I DO HAVE INFLUENCE WITH THEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY NOT ONLY LOST OUT ON $89 FROM ME IN MY HOMETOWN THEY HAVE LOST A LOT MORE. THIS IS JUST WRONG.

worst in town. go to super 8 !!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
this hotel is so filthy, old and run down that I don't know where to start. I had room 256 on July 7, 07. and this is what I found in the first 5 minutes of having this room. #1 the carpets were so worn out that the original green is now a very sticky mud brown, 2 the threads on the chair were coming through, 3 the toilet looked like it had never been cleaned ever and, 4 to top it off there was HAIR all over the bathroom in the shower and on the floor. so I called the managers 24 hour line and what do you know there's no managers on duty. Dave at the front desk got me another room which in all honesty was the absolute least they could do. and at $95.63 a night it's not a bargin. oh yeah free breakfast forget about it!! 8.95 at least. I can't believe that this can even have the name Holiday Inn. just do your self a favor and stay at super 8

Nice stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/06
Fitting room was ok. My room was neat, clean, and spacious. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Staff were kind with me. Close to Medical center, and restaurant.

Didn't get the accomodations that the rate should have provided. Room was small and the bathroom was small. The experience was rather dreary.

It wasn't what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/06
I wish I could say that I got what I paid for, but that wasn't the case. I paid $75.00 for one night and by the time I checked out, I felt like I had been badly ripped off. The service I received wasn't the greatest. All I can say is that I will definitely not return to this hotel.

It was ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/06
When I went there, the staff wasn't very friendly. I tend to stay at Holiday Inns because they are known to be very good franchises but this one wasn't at all what I expected. I don't think I'll ever stay there again.
