Will be back
By Ricardo LaVaughn, 9/1/10
I like the feel and overall feel of the place. It looks like the pictures you see on it’s website. Plus it’s much bigger then expected. I went down when going to se a Reds game and its more then worth it. There are 2 pools, one inside the other is out. A restaurant, on the weekends a party down below, as well as a detailed breakfast in the morning (it’s free). You have to check this place out. It’s worth the value, staff is friendly, and only a few miles away from Newport shopping area as well as downtown Cincinnati.

A Perfectly Satisfactory Two-Day Getaway!
By jemsmom97, 4/1/09
I purchased the Newport Aquarium pkg for $127 which included a room with 2 full beds, 2 tix to the aquarium and a $20 gift certificate to Chaucers. I was traveling with my son and my nephew, and a few days before our arrival, I called and asked if we could have a room close to the pool. We arrived at 12:30 and everything was ready for us, including the room, which was in an awesome location, on 2nd level above the fantastic indoor pool! The room was average, with the old, out-dated telephones and the small, claustrophobic bathroom being the only drawbacks, however, the new carpet, new bedding and nice towels made up for the bathroom's shortcomings (no exhaust fan and only one electrical outlet. My boys were a little disappointed that the game room was "out of order", so I really hope the hotel follows through on its plans to update it. I was impressed by how sound proof the rooms were, in fact, we turned in around 10:30 pm, and it was a very quiet night's sleep. Also, breakfast at Chaucer's was delish (you have to try the goetta!!) and the service everywhere, from the front desk to the pool attendant - friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back soon!

Greatest Hotel In The Universe
I recently stayed at the Drawbridge (DB) with a group of friends after a day of skiing in Lawrenceburg, IN. We had read some reviews and we were slightly skeptical about how our experience at the DB would be. Well, to put it simply - the Drawbridge Inn is the greatest hotel in the universe in the history of all things hotel related. Pros – mid evil décor, indoor pool, workout room, game room, pool table, suspended fire place, hot staff, the outdoor pool area, shuffle board, a barber shop and last but certainly not least, the Crossbow Lounge. We tried to gauge the type of club the Crossbow was by asking the staff, but they said they had never been there. In hindsight its probably a good thing because this place would have rocked their faces clean off. I have been to many clubs in Las Vegas that wish they had the atmosphere of the CB Lounge. There was rad music, hot babes, jamming dudes, and a plethora of hilarious antics by the locals. These people have sweet dance moves and they aren’t shy about showing them off. I would recommend this hotel on the experience at the CB Lounge alone. As for the other amenities, the rooms were clean and tidy. The heat was blasting in a few of the rooms but that was remedied with plenty of cold beer and additional cold as ice dance moves. The bathrooms were also surprisingly clean as well. In closing – I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to save some money but not sacrifice a good hotel experience. Don’t listen to the old reviews of this place. Those people were clearly insane and did not know how to have a good time. Or they were 105 yrs old. (Which could be the same thing) The Drawbridge Inn rules the galaxy. Thanks to the staff! We’ll all be back next year.

I'll never stay here again!
By CNW, 7/26/08
I have been in this hotel for less than 24 hours and have the following complaints: 1. We were placed in a section of the hotel that was being renovated. There was no wallpaper in the halls (peeling and chipping). The carpet was old and dirty and it had a stale smell. We asked for another room due to one of the members of our party having medical issues and were told they could not accommodate us. 2. The iron did not work. 3. We did not have enough towels in the rooms. When we called and asked for them (twice), they brought us bath mats as substitutes! 4. The TV is temperamental and does not work well. 5. Our rooms were not cleaned (we returned at 2:00pm). I went to the housekeeping office only to be told by the six staff members sitting around that they would be cleaned “after their break.” After calling the manager, the room was ‘cleaned’ (beds made and garbage removed). 6. The outlets in the room do not work. 7. The staff, although nice, was completey incapable of handling such a large group (200+). They seemed very overwhelmed and understaffed.

would not stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/08
the hotel is old, needs new air conditioners and some work. The room upon arrival smelled musty. The doors do not come all the way down and there is a large gap so people in hallways can hear your conversation. We asked for microwave, which did not work, and was not replaced. There were drinking parties in the hallways at 3 am 2 nights in a row. Would definately not stay again.

Enjoyable Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/08
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Drawbridge Inn where the Olde English charm of the facility rekindled fond memories of my eight years in England. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and located in a nice area with convenient access to Covington, KY, and Cincinnati, OH. The hotel staff were most accommodating and very friendly. I especially enjoyed Josh's Tavern & Grille where the pub-like setting and large fireplace made dining such a pleasant experience. I consider the Drawbridge to be value for money and definitely would stay there again.

Don't let the photos fool you
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/07
There was not much to hype about here. The pictures online are misleading and make it look a lot better than it is. In all honesty, the place smells like mildew, hallways, rooms, everything. The floors look like they have not been shampooed in decades (probably explains the smell) there was a sticky spot from a spill at the bottom of the stairs that was there for 2 days before it was cleaned. Soda machine on the 2nd floor stole my money, ice machine on my floor would not work, had to go to the bottom floor, elevators were out of order for a day...thank goodness we did not have a lot of luggage. There was a drowning at the indoor pool the Friday night (July 6, 2007) we were there so needless to say that pool was closed...I would like to mention that the outdoor pool is extremely nice but the pros certainly do not outweigh the cons and I would not go back just for the pool. They are pretty common in most hotels nowadays that have much neater, cleaner, well maintained facilities.

Perfect place for our wedding guests!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/07
Everyone went out of their way to accomodate us and the guests who flew in for our son's wedding. We were impressed with how friendly everyone was and always eager to help out. The rooms were clean and spacious. We loved the convenience of having 2 restaurants, always open...a totally positive experience!

Hotel of SHAME
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/06
We had no television service the whole weekend with 41 kids. How fun that was. The staff was rude & could have cared less about our problems. The place stunk & was very dirty. Will not stay here again.
