Holiday Inn Cleveland Airport, Cleveland

property is tired, not very logically organized. pool is good, but rooms are in a "separate building" from the main office, amybe connected later. no free breakfast, even tough some advertising says there it is. not the best holiday inn ive seen by a long chance if you need to spend the nite and need the points stay, but by no meand is a vactioning spot

First of all, the staff was very polite and friendly, but that was the only thing this place has going for it. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but clearly they had just recently changed it to non-smoking. There were cigarette burns in the curtains and bathroom counter, stale cigarette smoke permeated everything. The HVAC unit was filthy and clogged with dust - the shower tile had mold and the carpet had crumbs - in the middle of the floor - from the previous guest. Oh - and I never could get connected to their wireless after trying for well over an hour, even after using their directions. But they did tell I could pay to use the computer kiosk in the lobby. And on the day of checkout, we came back to our room (before the 12 noon checkout) to find the housekeeping staff had already stripped the room of linen. And they were kind enough to throw my son's stuffed animals on the dirty carpet along with the pillows we had just used! They apologized for everything, but never offered anything for any inconveniences - no free breakfast, internet usage or even a discount on the room.

Was on a family vaction to Cleveland. First visit and chose this hotel, but left after one day. After checking in two people were outside with staff drinking beer, talking and washing cars. The room had a loud rattling air conditioner and the tv remote did not properly function. The shower's drain was very slow causing the water to be ankle deep. Before checking in we were promised the hotel had Wi-Fi, but could not get a signal even after staff was notified. Close to the Airport, but this neighborhood questionable. On-line the rooms were said to be about $100.00 but we were charged $129.00 and then with taxes ect. $148.00. Native Clevelanders said the price was outrageous for this hotel at this location.

I have stayed here several times. The hotel is nice, but not extravagant. The rooms were nice, the beds very comfortable. The staff is very courteous. The shuttle service was on time and courteous. I love the convenient location. I ususally drive in the night before my flight, stay the night, park for FREE, for the entire length of my trip. Upon return, you just call the staff, they send the shuttle, pick you up and you get your car at the hotel lot. The lot is very secure, lighted well, with a tall wire fence around it. For the cost of parking at the airport lot, you can just about stay here for free. If your flight is a morning one, you don't have to fight the traffic if you arrived the night before. All in all, I like staying here for these reasons. They also have nice grill/bar area, good food, nice service. I have never had any problems what so ever. Of course this is NOT a vacation hotel, it's primarily for air travelers, and for this purpose, it is simply very functional, and well worth the price. Even in my home town Holiday Inn, the price is similar, so, for what you get here, with the convenience and all, I don't see how you can complain. I will stay here again for sure.
