I would reccommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/11
After looking everywhere and trying to book a room, I finally found one room at the Guest Lodge. And it is very reasonably priced! Then when we got there, they had our reservation for the next night! Even though I know I said the correct night on the phone. Anyways, turns out they had one room left and we got it. Very bare bones hotel, but for the price it was just fine! The room was clean, and all we needed was a place to sleep.

Won't make this mistake again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/11
First thing you notice when pulling in is all the garbage collected around the entrances, but the housekeeping staff does a good job, room was clean and the garbage gets picked up (though creeps right back again). Though I did get hot water for my showers, it comes in random, scalding bursts that alternate with freezing cold water. No room amenities, save a hand soap dispenser stuck to the shower wall. Bring an alarm clock as none are in the rooms, leaving you to rely on the front desk wakeup. There is a fridge and microwave, but twice the power went out in my room when using the microwave, so save any work on your computer often! If it's Internet work, good luck staying connected here, I've been bumped off continuously while in the middle of work. Have to tether my phone to get a continuous signal. Similarly priced hotel a block away from here that has none of these issues, AND has free breakfast. I recommend that one.

No Smoking Building!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/10
I've stayed there before and there are no frills (no pool, tub, exercise, etc), but the rooms are clean, service is good, and best of all no smoking! I had to sign a contract that stated I wouldn't smoke. Best of all it was low cost and I felt very safe staying by myself. Walking distance to fast food places and a complete convenience store and a short distance from the university. As long as I have a place to sleep, feel safe and it's clean, that's all I need.

Never again! Save yourself the hassle.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/14/10
We had an extended stay due to business (2 rooms) 10 nights Our matresses still had plastic, comfortable though. The front desk (fat bald guy with stupid side burns) was insulting! He told us to find another hotel. We worked nights, slept during the day. We asked to be accomodated with this simple request. House keeping woke us every day by pounding on the door. We took the front desks demand, went down the street to the better hotel, paid more, got more and a superior customer service. I have already warned other contractors to expect more from the better hotels.

EXcellent Place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/09
We have been going to Minot 3 times a year for the past 3 years and always stay at the Guest Lodge. Rooms are clean and quiet and staff is always very friendly and helpful. Price is right. Woudn't think of staying at the mall hotels and paying the extra. We are only in the rooms to sleep and we couldn't ask for any better place for that. We don't have children with us so no need for a pool as we don't use them ourselves.

Nice clean place; would stay there again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/4/08
Inexpensive without sacrificing anything. We were there during the State Volleyball tournament. We were 2 minutes from the Beaver Dome (taking the back way). I don't swim anymore and we were so busy with taking in the tournament action, shopping and hanging out, we were exhausted by the time we ended up back in the motel. The only thing I didn't care for was the continental breakfast. It was just donuts or muffins which aren't very healthy...add an apple or banana if possible. Otherwise, forgo the breakfast...there are a lot of places to eat in this area.

Great place to stay for the money
By cynthia j, 9/1/08
We were pleased with the fact that they went out of their way to get us a room for two at the last minute. The room was very clean and quiet. We liked the security in the halls and outside. Felt like we didn't have to worry about anything. Not fancy, but well worth the small price. We will stay there again when we are in Minot. Thanks to everyone there for making our stay so nice.
