A Little Tired, but Fantastic Staff
This property was booked by a professional organization for our fall meeting. One exit off I-95 and one block south of US Hwy 64, very conveniently located, adjacent to Visitor Center and had a Texas Steakhouse Restaurant/Saloon off the lobby.
Conference room was great size for our meeting, and the never-empty coffee pot in the lobby was appreciated by this caffeine fiend. Other attendees appreciated the lobby computer access and the large screen TV in the corner of the lobby as well. Wireless internet access in my third-floor end room worked well.
Staff was excellent! Our large conference was registered w/out incident, and the next day a family reunion crowded the lobby but went smoothly and staff was always cheerful and helpful.
The hallway carpets, and room carpet was a bit tired and dated. The grout around the bathroom was also tired. Florescent light over the closet was burned out. Air conditioner was noisier than I've experienced, I turned it off at night. Vending machines were *not* on each floor behind the elevators as indicated in the guest handbook.
Overall, not a remarkable property, but the staff more than made up for the structural shortcomings, and I would consider staying there in the future.
