Why are Day's Inns owned by Indians named Patel?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/10
I made a reservation two weeks before my stay in Aville and the day I was supposed to arrive there I was called by management. I was informed that I could not stay there because I lived in Hendersonville. I told him that this was unfare and untimely as they had two weeks to tell me. Then an Indian sounding man got on the phone and told me that if I called again he would report me to the police for phone harrassment. It was probaly best as EVERY Days Inn that I have stayed in is scummy and owned by the Patel caste and look down their noses like they do in India. How do these people get in the US and forget what freedom is in the US.

Great location for Bel Chere
By BabySweetie338, 09/19/09
After reading the reviews we were a little nervous but had a great stay for Bel Chere. There were 5 couples in different parts of the hotel and all were very pleased with the stay!!

Great location
By jack, 04/03/09
I was very surprised to find a decent place to stay after reading the reviews. The location is great. If you are planniing to be out of your room alot it is fine. It was difficult to sleep on the street side with traffic. The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice & the breakfast was good. I saw no bugs.

I wondered if this building still housed a hotel; it has long been known as,shall we say, a bit seedy. I guess the free clinic adjacent to the lobby has closed? I'm sure the million $ condo owners across street love the "traffic" that regularly comes and goes from this "hotel".

No roaches
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/08
The only pleasant surprise we had during our stay was that we didn't see any roaches. Apparently everyone in Asheville is required to own a Harley and none of them can afford a muffler. If you stay in one of the rooms facing the street you won't be able to sleep.

DO NOT STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/07
I booked this hotel room for three days and ended up leaving after first night due to a LIVE ROACH in my bed, the shower water was coming out black, there was no toilet paper in our room, the beds dont have fitted sheets, and there was a bodily stain on the pillow. When we confronted front desk they were rude, said they didnt even care about our story and didnt care what problems we had. They claimed we brought the roach in and tried to move us to bottom floor. They returned our money but only after they hung up on us at least four times of trying to explain the situation. I have never been anywhere with worse customer service. Rooms are not kept up, hotel is extremely dirty and the staff is awful. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are several other hotels very close with much better customer service and beds wihout roaches. The close location of this hotel is not worth it.

Know where you're going
By SteveR, 10/15/07
I checked all the reviews on this hotel before we took our trip. I was a little nervous but the location is the best. The hotel could have been worse. It wasn't the cleanest but the people were nice and it worked for an overnight stay. Don't stay there if you plan to be in Asheville long term.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/07
Have stayed many times over the years & slowly watched it deteriorate. Location and affordable rates used to make up for lack of amenities – and cleanliness – but no more. Most recent visit included dead bugs in bed and dirty washcloths in shower. New “no visitation” rule is a ridiculous – local friends were not allowed to come to our room when they picked us up for dinner. This was the last time we stay here.

days inn and days out
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
The place is way to expensive for a dirty seedy hotel. The rules and regulations are rediculus. They also make you pay to use their parking lot.The night staff was very unpleasent. The best western is a much better choice.

Not a real Days Inn?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/07
I don't know how this place calls itself a Days Inn. It has filthy rooms and rude staff. My car had some type of liquid poured all over it and when I complained, the mgr. stated it must've been from someone on the street above and nothing he could do. A foul, mildew like odor was in our room. DO NOT STAY HERE. Try best western or sleep inn
