Clarion Collection Hotel - Winston Salem, Winston-Salem

From the minute we walked through the lobby doors, we knew it was a special hotel. We were treated wonderfully by hotel staff throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. There are unique touches present everywhere and the staff takes personal pride in the hotel and their services. The facility has been beautifully renovated. The grounds are gorgeous and there are many little private spaces to enjoy. The rooms are quiet, beautifully decorated and have every available amenity: refrigerator, microwave, iron, hairdryer. Ask for an "art" room. They are decorated with pieces of art from local artists. The king bed was plush and sheets soft and luxurious. I loved breakfast every morning which was really extensive. My daughter and I experienced the spa, which is peaceful and smells heavenly. The spa staff is so caring and accomodating. This was a pleasure trip, although I travel a lot for business and stay in hotels that are twice the price and half as nice. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The location is close to Wake Forest on a busy street; however, everything is easily accessed and just a few minutes away. This is not your typical chain hotel, the Sundance Hotel and Spa is truly unique and special. We will definitely go back!

My family and I went to the Sundance Plaza on a mini vacation. We really enjoyed it and the best thing about it is that we came home relaxed. We purchased a golf package, so while my husband was on the course I was in the spa being pampered. We had a wonderful trip and can't wait to go back. My husband and I travel aproximatly 80 nights a year and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. They have a great sta, clean rooms, an awesome resturant, and lots of unique things to explore. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Also the prices where unbeatable(Better hotel and value than others in the area) I would say that this is Winston Salem's Best kept Secret !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I frequently travel around the US and this was the first time that I stayed at the Sundance Plaza Hotel and Spa. Customer Service was exeptional, my room was clean and updated, and I had a facial treatment in the Spa. After the treatment I went out in the courtyard to relax and I did indeed. There was a peaceful sanctuary and classical music playing in the background. My experience was one that I would expect to find at a 5 star hotel. For the money I spent, the value was triple. I will definitely stay again.

I think that the Sundance Plaza is a fine hotel for the price that you pay. I have stayed there 5 times while visiting family that attend Wake Forest Univ. The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the college, and honestly people, if you're paying $79 a night, you can't expect the Ritz Carlton!

Normally, I'm not one to write a review or complain but this hotel was just awful. I would like to say that the one employee that was working that night was extrememly helpful and apologetic. The hotel was just a dump for what they were charging. Everthing in the hotel looked run down and in need of a makeover. All i wanted to do was order room service and rent a movie from the tv because they do offer this amenity. So I called for room service and there oven wasn't working and then I had to be switched twice because the movie wouldn't play and after switching the lady on duty said there would be no rooms that had movies and the repair guy wouldn't be in until the next day. Also, the next day the elevator was broken. The lady finally decided to comp my room but to this day those monies still have not went back to my credit card. This was not an enjoyable stay at all.

Back in July the sundance should have not been booking weddings. they were not ready. but, now they are it is a very clean;new hotel. I am planning on having a party there soon. Thou, they don't have a cater yet thats fine that gives me the flexability to hire a cater. As far as the service it was fine I would give the sundance a try They did a good job fixin it up not to say it was bad in the first place. It is beautiful Winston Salem
