Impressive looking!
By PILOT'S WIFE, 01/03/09
We stayed at this hotel for business Dec. 26-29th. The lobby is very impressive...the rooms not so. The first night we were in rm. 597 and it was very dark, small and both room and bathroom were very outdated. When we talked to asst. front desk manager Ryan White about changing rooms, he didn't ask why,he just did it. We were moved into room 2788 which was much nicer than first room. Bigger, nicer amenities, brighter! Ryan is a true professional that still knows the meaning of customer service. EVERYONE was so nice. There was alot going on at the hotel that weekend, debutante ball, christian crusade, wrestling tournaments, meetings......it was fun to watch all the excitement. Down side of our stay was; the loud party in the Presidential Suite that was near our room and the LOUD slamming doors at all hours of day and night. The maids were loud and let doors bang shut every time they'd go in or out of rooms. The only restaurant open out of like seven, was Joseph's which was a little pricey and food average. The pool was over run with small unsupervised children. All in all......... The people in Greensboro are so friendly, we can't wait to go back.

No Microwave? Oh come on!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/08
Positive: Rooms quiet-Comfortable beds-Clean-Curtains block out the light-Negative: besides the maid not speaking any English except for "hello" and not one person smiled or acted like they like their job at the service desk, no one would accommodate me just to pop some popcorn. I'm standing four feet from a microwave staring me in the face at Cafe Expresso and the man refused to help even after I offered to pay for it. He just kept shaking his head no. So, I approached the desk clerk with the same request. "We do not have any microwaves". I figured these people have got to have a break room with a microwave in it, right? I told him I had researched the amenities online prior to my trip and one of them was microwaves as well as refrigerators. Since it was posted as amenities, I assumed every room had them. He dryly said "mam, we can put a refrigerator in your room for $35.00". That's all he said. No smile. No apology. Nadda. I didn't want a refrigerator. I wanted a microwave! He was no help at all. After traveling extensively with our business, and staying in numerous hotels, (this trip being a six day stay) I've come to the conclusion that the lower priced hotels care more about your creature comforts without trying to place a price tag on it. Complementary coffee in the lobby? Two cups of coffee-$4.00.

It was awesome!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/08
This was a great place because it had the coolest pool for my kids. They liked swimming under the bridge to and from the in and outdoor pool. The rooms were also very nice! One reason we liked the rooms was because we have a family of 5 so it was nice with the 2 beds and pull out couch. it was very nice.

No Dress Code!!
By Carolyn Moore, 11/03/07
The hotel and staff were exceptional. My problem was that I spent all day shopping for dress pants to wear to Club Fifth Season. It stated no jeans or tennis shoes allowed. I had only taken jeans, since this was to be a relaxed stay. Upon entering the club about 95% of the people had on jeans and most had on tennis shoes. If it didn't state the dress code I could have spent the day relaxing instead of shopping!

Very Nice!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/07
Really nice place with huge mall right across the street and plenty of restaurants. Service was great, staff was very pleasant. Room and bath was clean. The beds were wonderful, good nights rest. Very accommodating, super place. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/07
I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a sister week recently and stayed at this location. The staff was excellent and the rooms spoiled us for the next place we stayed. The restaurants were wonderful, the food delicious and presentation was top notch. We would love to go again, and plan to do that when we are in the area. Parking was the best too!

Great Conference
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
I was there for a conference of over 1500 women. Guilford Ballroom B had been set up for our ecumenical service. But more peole attended than expected. The hotel opened up another section and had it ready in minutes. Everybody was put to work setting up chairs, even people from the kitchens. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. However, I found the closet place a bit small.

No hot water
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/06
There was no hot water in my room. Need I say more? Food at restaurants is bad and overpriced. Layout is confusing. Music in hallways is too loud.

Good but just a little short
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/06
Very nice hotel- Slight Confusion to the reservation- Hotel very Big- Too Many Doors- Main Checkin Door should be noted outside. Error in Billing-Fixed as you can see too many little problems for a hotels that thinks big. Rooms are Nice next to Mall. Pool inside and Outside but closed

front desk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/06
The stay was great, however, upon checking out the person who helped me at the front desk was very unfriendly and cold. I needed a receipt with a 0 balance and she was quite rude to me and not at all helpful. She didn't provide me with what I needed and brushed me off. Didn't smile and greet me--very rude.
