Since the Economy Inn has hired an outside consultant the needed improvement are resulting in a nicer hotel to visit while you're in Charlotte. The management was very supportive and suggested that while we were there to make comments on how the hotel could improve even more. The customer service was a plus. Prompt service and you can see the care in the manager's eyes about providing a safe place. New security measures are in place a security gate, reasonable rate for a individual or family on a budget. The rooms were smelly, moldy, dirty and had roaches! I killed 3 roaches myself. The people in other rooms were screaming throughout the night. There was mold in the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. It needs disinfecting and a remodel.
