A place we would definitely consider for our next trip!
This hotel was in a great location and within walking distance to a ton of key tourist areas! The staff was absolutely fabulous! Willing to help us with directions, suggestions, even took our picture before we headed out to a broadway show! The housekeeping staff were always polite and willing to help you with anything they could and always had a smile on their faces. We had a suite, and it was very comfortable and very homey feeling. The only cons for this hotel at this time was the fact that they were undergoing some renovations, so there was only one main elevator that was working, besides the service elevator, and when you are on the upper floors of the 16, it's not so easy to just take the stairs. The breakfast is served on the Mezzanine level and there were long wait times for the next available table. And at some times we even shared with other hotel guests, which we actually didn't mind. They were also having record breaking heat for October in NYC that week, and the hotel's lobby and main hallways AC was broken or not working at full capacity for a few days, and that doesn't help when your already extremely hot from walking all day. The air conditioning in the rooms worked fine. Overall, we would definitely give this hotel another try, and hopefully the renovating will be complete by then!
