Stayed during Toy Fair

I found the staff to be very courteous. JFK lost my luggage and basically told me to F off....I was pissed.. The concierge heard me fighting with them over the phone...he send a car to JFK to retrieve my bags once they were finally located. My room wasn't robbed.....awesome Deli across the street (Juniors)...room service was pricey but real good.
 
 
 
 
 
Stolen Earrings

the room was clean and fair for new york, but the staff stole my diamond stud earrings. the loss of a valuable take all value away from this hotel. they should find a way to better protect the guest

Good Location BUT

Excellent starting point location for seeing the City but I think someone stole money that I had hidden in my shaving kit. After reading other reviews I now know you can not trust their staff and the hotel management should be doing something about it. We were on the 26th floor.

Housekeeping Staff Steals from Guests!!!!

The hotel room was nice but....the housekeeping staff stole valuables from my room. Left me with very bad feelings about N.Y., and this particular hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again and I will tell anyone who listens, not to stay here because the housekeeping staff will go thru their luggage and help themselves. And....the star rating I gave doesn't even deserve that one star!!!!

Never Again

Personnel not nice, too long to wait for an elevator, not enough towels in room, dirty cart outside of room the entire time. Not worth the money. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Going back in October!

I have stayed there twice and returning in October. They have an in-room safe to lock your valuables. I can't imagine why the visitors that had things stolen did not use it. The rooms are awesome and the view of Times Square is unbelievable. I will not stay anywhere else. Not even the Plaza!!!! The staff at the Marquis rock.

WARNING !!!! SOMEONE STOLE OUR STUFF

someone stole from us and the door WAS locked. several items from my wife's luggage as tiffany jewelry, chanell purse, other jewelry. 4 pair of diamond cufflinks were also stolen from my luggage. why didn't they steal my lap top, cameras & the electronic games my son had. all were visible. rather they went into the luggages. there was no evidence of tampering with the door. we left for a 2 hour city tour and believe me i locked the door and checked it. we notified the hotel and their comment was "no one went into your room", thats it !! BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, EXCELLENT LOCATION. this was our 3 stay there. SOMEONE THERE STOLE OUR STUFF !!!

We loved this hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a room on the 40th floor and it was very quiet. The staff was polite, efficient and organized. I used the online concierge service and found everything we asked for when we checked in. Left a note on the pillow for the Chambermaid for some special requests which she promptly delivered. Had absolutely no problem with the elevators and, in this time of swine flu, appreciated the hand disinfectant available by the main display. An overall great stay!

Terrible Experience

I had a terrible experience having a bag stolen from my hotel room. With such a high cost and "good Customer Service", I was very dissappointed at this. The hotel personel and manager did not do anything about it which means i lost about $600 in belongings and souveniers.
